Cadbury mini eggs

I'm not a fan of Cadbury and not much of a chocolate eater since they bastardised the recipe with palm oil but I do still enjoy the mini eggs. This year the packs are a mere 80g and am sure last year they were 110g. We shared a bag yesterday and there were about 20 in there. Doesn't go far between 4 of us. Wtf are they playing at? And they are made in Poland now rather than England so post brexit the price will rocket Sad

They were 110g last year. And there was a bigger bag too for about £3.

I knew it!! There's a family bag for £3 this year but I don't know how much it weighs. I imagine less than the big bag last year.

But, but, but, they were in the shops in December, so who cares about the pack size? I brought back mini eggs and cream eggs in my suitcase. If I manage not to eat them before Easter, we shall have Easter eggs this year (and not the hone made monstrosities the kids have had to suffer in previous years!)

We've been scoffing a couple of packets a week since December 27th and as they always run out close to Easter I've got a small stash for our Easter cake. They are t as nice as they used to be but still satisfying when you have PMT.

Yeah, I can just see the check in agent now "err, Mrs Wave, you appear to be several kg over the weight limit" "well, yes Mr CheckInAgent, along with washing powder, ive got 240g of mini eggs per week in a case, please don't make me pay excess luggage"

I know you are talking about the Mini Eggs with the crispy shell/chocolate middle but..........

The Mini Creme Egg: I haven't bought any (yet) this year , but out of a bag if 10 , maybe 7 will be solid. I thought they were old stock but it's not.
But if I buy the Celebration tubs , they have the same sweets (not egg shaped) that are always always soft fondant .

Why ?

HopeClearwater · 27/01/2019 19:53

Never mind the weight, what about the recipe change? The chocolate is cheaper. The shells aren’t crisp any more.

Fellow mini egg fans you need to go for the Snow Bites if you can still get them. They're like mini eggs only the shells are crunchier

Fat, sugar, chemicals, and associated destruction of the rainforest for the palm oil. Non-recyclable packaging. What's to like about them?
