Why haven’t I been slow cooking all my life!?

After gathering dust for years i’ve actually started to use my slow cooker, 3 times in the last 4 weeks and I genuinely don’t understand why I haven’t been using it! Everything tastes amazing and I love not having to rush to get stuff ready by 6 o clock. This weekend I made chicken tikka and it was better than any supermarket ready meal or jar of sauce. The beef stew last weekend was also a roaring success, even the kids ate it.

Any recipes you can share, I plan on using it as much as possible from now on.

Has anyone tried using a towel under the lid to absorb condensation?

My veggie lasagna was amazing except my husband had the cold so cant taste anything and the kids didn’t like ‘the red and green bits’ (as in the veggies and the sauce) so they had a bowl of cereal instead.

On the plus side I had another huge portion of it for dinner tonight as a result.

Moroccan lamb in mine, just waiting for DH so I can eat it! Haven't tried it before, it's in good food magazine this month, it's got red olives and lemon in but thank goodness, no apricots, bleurgh. Smells lovely, hope it's nice!

The mayflower curry powder is great for a chicken curry it tastes exactly like a takeaway. Just chuck whole box in with chicken breast, chopped onion, frozen peas & pint of water
