We're looking for a new one but don't know where to start.

I’ve just bought this one. I love it.

MamaRaisingBoys · 27/01/2019 14:55

I have that one too, it’s fab

Redact · 27/01/2019 15:06

Miele, it's fab

Avocado0nToast · 27/01/2019 15:10

Another vote for the Beko one. For the price I can't fault it

Endofrelationship · 27/01/2019 16:27

@redact which Miele one?

I'll take a look at the beko one now.

I've got a Beko one too, 9k so I can get duvets and lots of towels in if I need to. It's got a light inside! I was so impressed by that, it's probably quite standard now but no more scrabbling round for stray socks that might be stuck in there!

Ivegotthree · 27/01/2019 18:07

Miele T8822C, bought three years ago. It's great and I love it.

Ivegotthree · 27/01/2019 18:08

PS I just looked mine up and it seems to have been loads of different prices.

I got mine for £600 ish from the co-op online - I see it was £900+ in other places. So shop around!

Darnsquirrels · 27/01/2019 18:10

No. If there ever were a tumble drier that's a cunt then it would be mine. Hate the bastard.

LikeACowsOpinion · 27/01/2019 18:26

Mines quite old but I 100% would recommend it if you can still get it.
It's a Hoover Condenser - dries a full load (including towels/jeans) in under 2 hours.
That's when it's packed to capacity too.

I tumble everything so it's on constantly and I've had no problems with it at all.

hotchocdrinker · 27/01/2019 19:42

Beko for me too. I've had it for four and a half years so I can't find the exact model online any more, but I suspect it's the equivalent of the one posted by MrsPerfect above. Easy to use, has never gone wrong and dries quickly.

Belindabelle · 27/01/2019 19:45

I love Miele and have a washing machine and dishwasher. However tumble dryers are very simple animals. There really is not that much to them. Full heat or reduced heat? set the timer and off you go. I see no need to spend upwards of 600 on one. I have an Indeset

justasking111 · 27/01/2019 19:48

Gas tumble dryer for me. Bigger drum, so takes more. Cheaper to run. Have had one for twenty years now.

Another vote for the Beko one

SpringForEver · 27/01/2019 20:08

Candy GrandO 9k condenser here, not too expensive and am happy with it.

Like many others the water tank is at the bottom which is a bit of a pain when it needs emptying but if you are fit and bendy it is fine.

What you can put in them obviously depends on the size of the drum and the weight it will take, so check how heavy your duvet etc is when wet if you intend to put it in.

Endofrelationship · 28/01/2019 12:17

The beko one looks great value. How often do you need to empty the container?

TowerRingInferno · 28/01/2019 13:13

I have this one from Siemens , well an earlier version anyway. Had it at least 8 years and used a lot.

Mine has a weight sensor, so a full load takes just over 2 hours but the time comes down considerably with a partial load.

MrsPerfect12 · 28/01/2019 15:11

The Beko can be connected to the pipes so you never have to empty it. I don’t have mine connected that way and I empty mine every 2nd load or one big load, It’s easy. It’s a sensor dried too so no over dryer and I can still smell my fabric softener which was lost with my last timed version.
