Healthy meals for picky eaters?

OMG please help me. I love food especially cooked in sauces etc but Dh and Dc are the most picky eaters on the planet.

I have just finished a week of oven chips with breaded chicken for what seems like the entire week and I could Scream!!

Please if you have picky eaters post what you/ they eat.

Dh and 4Dc only 2 eat rice. 3 eat pasta. 3 eat potatoes. Of course everyone eats chips.

Every night I end up cooking different things.

Nobody is overweight but it's the most unhealthy of diets.

Dd1 has ASD. Ds2 has complex needs and largely lives on pizza and pasta. Absolutely refuses to try anything else.

Thanks I will try some of these out. I have spent the day making a note of anything healthy each person eats so I can make sure they get these on a regular basis.

My oldest was like this, we started with deconstructed meals. ‘Fajitas’ with the most innofensive ingredients, wraps, cheese and chicken with no spice. Next time already wrapped up... next time a tiny bit of spice... next time constrict your own (and hope they pick a pepper!)

We tried to teach her about putting her own food together and how lovely it was.

It’s still hit and miss but she eats a lot more than she used to.

I feel your pain. My son is 11 and a picky eater. He’s sort of cured himself by watching YouTube videos though. He started watching them when he was about 7 or 8. Things like “kids try breakfasts from all over the world” or “hottest chicken wings”. Suddenly he pipes up with “can we buy kimchi” and “I’ll try sushi”. Anyway he’s still picky but more likely to try stuff. He likes random things like brussels sprouts and garlic mayonnaise. He’s even had tofu, fried until crispy of course ... I second the deconstruction. He likes poke bowls, one of his favourite foods, and that’s a pick your own sort of setup.

So hard when they do not all eat the same things... some of the variations on breaded chicken and chips pr pasta and pizza that I try are

Chicken wraps. Sometimes breaded, sometimes with fajita seasoning on, sometimes shwarma marinade on. Served with a tortilla wrap and salad (one DD only eats carrot sticks and sweetcorn, the other DD only eats pepper sticks and cucumber, I usually do a shredded white cabbage, lime and corriander salad for me and DH). This also works with halloumi or breaded lemon sole goujons / fishfingers instead of chicken.

Prawn / chicken noodles - they are a lot like pasta, so might be accepted? I do a soy and honey sauce, or teriyaki with thin strips of raw veg on the side (see above ingredients for salad for my fussy DDs)

Quesadillas - a bit like pizza, making a new food slightly less new?

Do they like pastry, you could do a pie, and skip other carbs. Mine both like flaky pastry and puff pastry so I do chicken pies with either tarragon, sweetcorn, or autumn veg (its a Gordon Ramsey recipe, and I love it) I do serve this with steamed veg, but only ones DDs will eat (which is a grand total of 3).
