Best moisturiser

I need a new moisturiser to use. My skin is quite dry and has open pores (which I hate!) I need to invest in some good skin care to help my skin look youthful and full of life. Any suggestions?

So irritating when someone turns up and says

My nan only used X and looked amazing.

Or something to that effect. It is so lame. Genetics plays a role, yes, but our lives have changed significantly; far more pollution, more medication, make up,stressful lives (cities, flying, exposure to radiation etc) the list is endless. But if X was valid 50years ago, then obviously it must still do the trick today. Hmm

Anywho, I use and love Weleda Cold cream with almond oil (peachy tube), or the Skin Food (green tube).

Love weleda skin food - great night cream. I use Superdrug optimum phyto something - £15 often on offer, has spf. There are so many in expensive ones these days. Serums good for hydration - garden of wisdom hyaluronuc acid and squalane, again cheap as chips. Just ordered Lixir vitamin c paste - has anyone tried it?

Another vote for Nivea blue tub. I use it at night on my face, elbows, hands and heels. My skin feels wonderful by morning. Dh had terrible cracked hands lately as he works outside so I got him a tub and now hes baby soft too Smile. It's amazing value for £3 and often on offer at £2. You only need a little dab so a big tub lasts at least a month.

During the day I use Nivea essentials with spf 15.
