Hobbies to do indoors

What hobbies do people do indoors? My partner is late home every night at the moment so am looking for something to do. I would like to build some Lego but all the ones I want are too expensive. My friend suggested cross stitch but don't think I've got the patience for that. Any other suggestions?

Tapestry, knitting, quilling, all sorts of crafts.

Crochet at the moment. In the past I have done sewing, glass engraving, calligraphy, playing the piano, reading.

If you're willing to take a bit of risk with a mixed bag of Lego, there are sometimes real bargains of second hand stuff on gumtree. Each Lego part has an individual number on it, so if you find an usual brick you can search online to find which sets used that particular piece.

I like arts and crafts, so knitting, sewing etc as mentioned previously. There are also lots of free courses and interesting ted talks online. My main suggestion though would have to be reading! If you have a couple of uninterrupted hours then this could be ideal. Many libraries allow you to borrow e-books online.

Papercutting - you can make some beautiful designs

Jigsaw? I like ones that are maps - just finished one of the London Underground.

Needle felting is quite satisfying. Until you stab your own finger.
