Cot next to bed and bedside table.

If you have/had your babies cot by your bed where do you put your bedside table?

I can’t get my bedside table organised.

Thank you.

My table stayed where it was and the cot started after it, iyswim

My cot had a solid end so it butted up against the bedside table and I just moved my pillow down abit on the bed or move the bed slightly away from the wall to line up? Or just move the table out completely.

Mine just went elsewhere in the room. Because of room layout I had to get the cot up to the wall. I just managed without for 6/7 months (X3)

Thanks for the replies. Definitely been overthinking it, have been too focused on where I can put my morning cup of tea. I will put the bedside table elsewhere in the room.

I had the where do I put my morning cup of tea issue with the bedside crib in the way, I ended up buying a travel mug with a lid so I could rest it on the bed next to me so it didn’t spill during the morning feed.

I wanted my table where it was - I used the cot with the side down (and secured to the bed) and I wouldn’t have wanted my pillow being level with the cot.

MummySharkBabyShark · 22/01/2019 22:03

I also hate the having to shuffle into bed (and out) but I can’t blame the bedside table for that!

I don't drink tea or coffee, so I never thought about that - a water bottle was easier to just drop on the floor. Grin

You get plastic wine bottles these days too I hear, they would just bounce.

LivLemler · 22/01/2019 22:35

Bedside table stayed in its usual place, beside crib started after that. Maybe a full size cot would be too long.

I liked having the table, and I left a gap between it and the bed where I could wedge the extra pillow I used for feeding, with a muslin on top.

I moved my bedside table elsewhere and bought one of these to hang off the cot to put bits in that I need (glasses/kindle/water bottle etc). It worked really well.
