How to remove a transfer?

DH has a pair of overalls that were given to him from his old workplace. The company doesn't exist anymore so they (obviously) don't want or need them back. They have the companies logo on the back and DH was wondering if we could remove it. It looks to be one of those plasticy feeling transfers that you get on tshirts and things. Will an iron do it or will I ruin my iron?

If an iron does do anything to it, it'll definitely stick to it, yes. Use a thin cotton cloth (waste!) over it, hot no steam, see if you can melt it onto the cloth. The transfer may go sticky if it's plastic, rub it into balls and pull them off - careful of burning fingers!

If there's no stickiness when it's heated, probably stuffed. Patch over the top?

Same suggestion as pp, try with an iron but no steam and make sure there is something between the iron an the transfer. Try different things like cotton cloth or greaseproof paper to see if anything different happens with different things.

Or put the garment inside out with the cloth/greaseproof inside over the transfer and iron over from the inside of the garment (which is now on the outside) this way you are applying heat but won't accidentally run your iron over the transfer if the greaseproof paper moves.
