Has anyone had a stomach cramp type bug recently?

I’ve had bad stomach cramps for the last couple of days combined with occasionally having to rush to the loo but no proper diarrhoea. Has anyone else had this recently? Trying to work out if it’s a bug or if I’ve accidentally eaten something that I have an intolerance to.

I had this last year - it was very strange. I felt quite sick and had awful stomach cramps and a feeling of trapped wind for about 10 days.

Oh yes. First one for a few years. Whole body shivers, projectile vomiting even when nothing there (sorry) and the other direction,horrendous abdominal pains, over 3 days. I nearly called 111 also Ifonly. Tummy muscles/ribs ached for 48hrs afterwards from the force of it. Must have lost at least 5lbs.

My DC didn't get it. They were only with me half the time, but there was extra hand washing and I wouldn't let them near me when I was being sick.

I'm finding this interesting.

Last Thursday I woke up feeling incredibly nauseous. By midday I was on the sofa with stomach ache and dizziness. I was bloated and gassy, stomach very noisey and gurgly.I lay there for 12 hours, didn't eat or drink, couldn't look at phone or TV or need the loo. DD came in at midnight and made me drink something. No vomiting or diarrhoea. Next two days my stools were a bit loose and I felt fragile with little appetite.

Oh god, it's back. When does it stop?! Curled up on the sofa with awful stomach cramps and feeling sick. Fed up of this now

I have this right now. I had D&V with it but the day before I got sick, we saw a friend who was complaining of just the stomach pains. Just before I got sick, my DD was sick but had no diarrhea and no stomach ache and recovered super quick .

So I wonder if all of us had the same bug but got different degrees of it.

I’ve been feeling much better today (day 5) but still a little bit crampy especially after eating.

Thank God for this thread! I’ve been putting it down to anything and everything I’ve eaten but it can’t be - I’m so bloated and gassy (tmi - sorry) it’s so painful!

Yes, until I found this thread I had no idea what the problem was, I haven't eaten anything I'd usually consider suspicious such as chicken or a takeaway.
I've eaten cucumber, salad, broccoli, celery, and beansprouts.

Me! 7 days in hospital on Hartman's/ringers fluids and morphine, with a diagnosis of norovirus in the end.

And it’s back! Wasn’t too bad yesterday but have woken up starving, ate something small and immediately got bad cramps and feel like diarrhoea is imminent. Enough now!

Yes! Thought it was something I ate but didn’t know what, was very out of sorts with horrid stomach.

I have this too - started Monday when I felt bloated and windy, this has gone on all week. Yesterday cramps, wind pain and running to the loo. Feel queasy too but no vom. Ive phoned in sick today in the hope a rest helps!

What are you all eating (if anything) with this?

Yes had this over Xmas which was fun 🤔 no d and v just the most horrendous stomach cramps. Felt like I was in labour!
