I’m after a lovely children’s book with a matching soft toy - doesn’t necessarily have to be the exact character as long as I can buy a similar soft toy ie a brown bear. We already have gruffalo and mog. Any ideas please? Thanks!

I’ve got sets like this from WH Smith before - Hungry Caterpillar and Giraffe/Pelly/Me with matching caterpillar and giraffe toys.

Our local Waterstones have lots of literature themed cuddly toys.

When I was in before Christmas, as well as the Grufflo they had stick man, Zog and the witch from Room on the Broom. I think they had an Elmer and a Hungry Caterpillar too.

Db once got my dc where the wild things are with Max which they liked.

How about Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs with a dinosaur?

Aw this has made me a little sad. I was just about to recommend Goodnight Harry (by Kim Lewis) as it came with a Harry the Elephant toy for my daughter but upon googling it seems that you can't get it any longer. All three of my kids liked it and now I feel old 😂.

The "That's not my..." range do have special editions with a matching soft toy, such as the "That's not my owl" one.

One Ted by Julia Donaldson would be easy to match with a bear

Peace at last.
You need a family of teddy bears

My son's old preschool handed out story bags with toys to act out the story and this was my son's favourite.
