I’ve recently been offered what could be classed as a ‘care package’ I suppose ?
-6 hours cleaning a week
-2 hours general help/babysitting for youngest
I need this help due to having some health/MH issues but I’ve beem made to feel bad about it and now I’m wondering if it’s too much ?
It doesn’t actually seem a lot to me as there’s so much to do but I feel like it’s caused resentment towards me as outwardly I look ok but I’m really not

Take it if you need it and don't feel bad. Someone clearly thinks you're entitled to it and could use the help. Unless you're paying for it you don't get offered stuff like that for no reason. Take it and if you can, use the time and support to get better.

Depends what your issues are and who is offering it I guess. Also what it actually covers and why you are being offered it. Eg are you physically unable to do the more vigorous cleaning activities, but can manage laundry, cooking and general clean up? If so, 6 hours cleaning a week seems a lot.

Don't let anyone make you feel bad. It's your life, not theirs. Your health is the most important thing and if it will help you then go for it. No-one's business but yours. Flowers

Made to feel bad by who? Someone who feels crap they aren't themselves supporting you?

lifeof · 21/01/2019 11:12

Yes precisely that I think my family think I’m lazy
I’m not I’m exhausted I have PND, ASD and EDS

you're a mum with a child (children?) who needs some help, and it's being offered. Take it, you need it and it will help you and your immediate family. Ignore anyone who thinks they know better.

More like your family are jealous, accept the help - if your family were caring people maybe they could help you !!

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 21/01/2019 11:41

No, it doesn't sound like a lot really. I'm assuming "cleaning" includes things like laundry, washing dishes, tidying etc as well as hoovering and wiping, there's definitely a lot more than 6 hours a week to do of that when you have a small child!

Take the help you're offered, it sounds like a great way of getting you feeling back on top of things.

Forget what others are saying.
Focus on getting yourself sorted. Take the help.

jessstan2 · 21/01/2019 11:56

Who has made you feel bad about accepting this help? No-one has the right to do that, the help would not be on offer were you not entitled to it.

I see it members of your family who are tut tutting. I've noticed people often bandy the word 'lazy' about when they have no idea what someone is going through.

You take all the help you need while you need it.

Good luck Flowers
