Hello! So, I'm 37+4 with a breech baby and my waters have just gone. I've rung triage, put a pad on and our friends have just arrived to look after DS.

Currently in Asda carpark so DH can pick up some supplies for himself.

Please keep me entertained!

I’m here with you, OP! How exciting Grin how are you feeling? And DH? Hope he’s calm and being supportive. You’re about to meet your little girl!! Cake

Endofrelationship · 18/01/2019 02:35

DH is clearly a bit panicked/ stressed but I'm giving him a good talking to.

I'm ok.

Just been scanned and confirmed baby is definitely still breech and my waters are low. Just waiting to go up to the ward and then have my section.

Good luck! DH was far more nervous than me last time, he is incredibly squeamish so being in an operating theatre is his worst nightmare. He made it through each time though firmly sat next to my head and looking nowhere else Grin

Almost there!

Ifeelinclined · 18/01/2019 02:41

Good luck! How exciting!!

Bitchywaitress · 18/01/2019 02:44

Hello, I’m still up and wanted to say congratulations to your new arrival!!!

Kab30 · 18/01/2019 02:50

Hello just woke to lo shouting and read this ....congratulations hope everything is ok xxxx

Ijustwanttofeelbeautiful · 18/01/2019 03:02

Hope you won’t be kept waiting too long!

Endofrelationship · 18/01/2019 03:11

I'm on the delivery ward now, been put on the elective list for the morning and DH has gone home.

Apparently I'm having "uterine activity" and not contractions (hmm, which one of us experiencing it?). They'll take me to theatre earlier if needed. Supposed to try and get some sleep now Hmm

Wildestflower · 18/01/2019 03:13

Sorry to hear this, how frustrating for you. Hope you can get some sleep and meet your little girl soon.

Smotheroffive · 18/01/2019 03:19

Ooo how exciting..weeeeee!
Not long now til babe in arms, you get to meet!

I don't know how you could sleep! 2nd babies don't make the same impact on DMs as first ordinarily! Your body has done it all before, did they say baby still breach? Full breach or?
Even breach I'm sure your baby could be delivered fine, but have you elected?

Will be checking for exciting updates!

Endofrelationship · 18/01/2019 03:33

Smotheroffive yes, have elected. Her being breech just means they aren't fighting me over it. Had a hideous first delivery with long term complications so not in a hurry to repeat that.

Definitely contracting now. 45 seconds long.

Just had paracetamol and codeine. Hoping they kick in soon.

Namedrama · 18/01/2019 04:19

Oooo, good luck. How many hours until you are likely to go to Theatre?

Mammabear31 · 18/01/2019 04:21

Hope all goes well and the painkillers are helping? I'm currently sat feeding my 16 week old and feeling for you. I had an elective section and the worst bit beforehand was the waiting!

Fingers crossed for a straightforward and safe delivery of your lovely baby Flowers

Tisahardlife · 18/01/2019 04:30

Oooh, hope things are going well, but sure that you'll be able to sleep whilst contracting though, hopefully you'll not wait too long for your CS 😁

Endofrelationship · 18/01/2019 04:34

Don't know Namedrama they have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get a cannula in me but I'm not being taken down to theatre yet. They'll reassess in 30minutes, been told not to call DH yet.
I feel dizzy and faint but think that's the anxiety mixed with painkillers.

Getting a contraction every 3-5 minutes at the moment. Would love some sleep.

Oh, I caught a live one! How exciting! I love reading about births. Best day of my life when dd was born.

Endofrelationship · 18/01/2019 04:45

A lovely lady (mother of one of the other patients I think) has just come and rubbed my back during a contraction!

Tisahardlife · 18/01/2019 04:54

How lovely of her!

GingerbreadBlob · 18/01/2019 04:56

Good luck op. Coding can make you spacey. If you feel faint/dizzy let the midwives know. Good luck! How version exciting.

GingerbreadBlob · 18/01/2019 04:57

Codine as well as coding ☺️

Rememory · 18/01/2019 04:58

Good Luck OP. My second was an elective. It was a dream in comparison to my first emergency CS x

MrsSchadenfreude · 18/01/2019 04:59

Ooh how exciting! Lol at uterine activity - what was it doing, having a party or getting dressed or something? With my first I was bleeding like a stuck pig and they said it was “a bit of a “show”.

Good luck! Not long now!

MrsCatE · 18/01/2019 05:00

How are you doing?! Sounds like action stations! Fingers crossed for easier time this birth! X
