What? Mrs May? Shock

Lightsdown · 17/01/2019 18:29

I agree - it is amazing !

Stephisaur · 17/01/2019 18:29

A friend shared the story earlier.

Just incredible.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 17/01/2019 18:30

Whilst completing her PhD!

PartyOnGarth · 17/01/2019 18:31

She is awesome, such an inspirational woman!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 17/01/2019 18:32

Superwoman - what a role model for wee Rowen!

Rowan doesn't look very impressed in the photo they used.

You might be an actual super woman but your beloved offspring aren't having any of it Grin

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 17/01/2019 18:42

Having a toddler protest I suppose - mum going away for a few days wasn’t appreciated.

Sturmundcalm · 17/01/2019 18:43

just read that story on the guardian. now feel totally inadequate Wine

absolutely amazing!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 17/01/2019 18:44

Yup, reading the gruniard these days will do that for you!

whiteroseredrose · 17/01/2019 18:44

She ran a long way quickly. Her choice.

MsForestier · 17/01/2019 18:45

I thunk this woman is amazing. What a race. (Says a Mumsnetter curled up in a blanket in her couch Grin)

MsForestier · 17/01/2019 18:45

Think not thunk!

ShowOfHands · 17/01/2019 18:46

What an extraordinary woman. I am so very impressed.

NorthernRunner · 17/01/2019 18:47

Absolutely amazing.
I cannot get my head around those distances. 13.1miles is enough for me. She is totally insane and incredible all at the same time

LuluMelons · 17/01/2019 18:47

Didn't know you could have mastitis when child is 14 months. Thought that only happened in the new born stage.

NorthernRunner · 17/01/2019 18:48

Lulu I think it’s to do with the sports bra and chaffing

OrigamiZoo · 17/01/2019 18:48

Wow! She ran 100 miles a week running up to the race, I think I'm doing well to run 10.
What was she eating to fuel that activity?! Shock

Angry101 · 17/01/2019 18:49

You can develop mastitis at any age . I've had it when my child was 3 .

ShowOfHands · 17/01/2019 18:50

You can get lactation mastitis while pregnant. I got it whilst feeding a 3yo. You can get another type of mastitis outside of breastfeeding.

planespotting · 17/01/2019 18:51

I had mastitis 3 times, it can happen at any point!
Ahhhh I was in tears reading that OP

I feel so happy reading positive women stories SmileSmileSmile

Here I am eating cookies after skipping my C25K run 😫😫😫😫😫

CottonTailRabbit · 17/01/2019 18:51

She is amazing. Good on her.

Though I found myself giggling at the lengths a final year PhD student will go to to avoid their writing up. She gave birth, runs 100 miles a week normally, did a week long race that takes two weeks recovery. DH's excess tetris and footballing was shite procrastinating in retrospect.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 17/01/2019 18:54

83 hrs of running with 3 hrs sleep.

Can't get my head around it.

Yup, doth my cap to her! What an achievement!

derxa · 17/01/2019 18:54

Good for her
