Should I take dd in with me when dropping of DS?

Just wondering if I'm a shit mum here or not when I drop DS of into nursery I leave dd 4months asleep in the car. I'm probably 2-3 mins max I know some other parents leave theirs but some bring all their kids in.

Just wondering what everyone else does and whether I'm being cautious enough?

Not everyone has the confidence to walk away mid chat....

@Aprilshowersarecomingsoon in that case then the person probably also wouldn’t have the confidence to leave the baby in the car!

I, however, would do both.

We had a letter home from nursery asking parents not to do this.

I don't think it's a good idea either .

I used to leave my sleeping or awake toddler in the car. He was well behaved and strapped in and it was always during the winter or when it was raining. I dropped dd at the class and used to run back, max 2/3mins. I don’t regret it. I’d do it now and I’d do it again because it’s not a big deal. I never left them during warmer weather.

I tried it once and came back to find him screaming his head off and everyone judging me.
Also can't lock the car doors because the internal motion sensor would set the alarm off.
I did frequently leave ds1 asleep in the car on our driveway while I took shopping inside and did some quick chores with frequent check ups.

As your nursery as a car park, then yes I would. But I leave my DD in the car when I pay for petrol so am probably irresponsible and not to be trusted.

I'd take her in still in the car seat. Parents do it at my nursery and I would have done it with DD2 if we'd gone to DD1's nursery in the car when she was tiny.
