How long were your parents together before they had you?

my parents had my brother before me , so i am pretty sure they were together about 10 years before they had me so a long time.

Married 5 years, not sure how long courting but a few years.
I’m an only and I think I took a while to arrive.

They got together in 1967
Married 1970

I think maybe 5 or 6 years but I was the second, my sister was after a year..... my DD was conceived 3 months into my DH and I's relationship

We'd been together 12 years, married for 11 when we had our only DC. Still together and married 28 years

I don’t think my parents really were together before I was conceived, just casually dating. My mum was 16 and my dad was 18 and their parents rushed them into marriage when they found out my mum was pregnant, not surprisingly the marriage didn’t last long.

Although DH and I were together 10 years before we had DD I still find it strange that other people’s parents had adult lives before parenthood. Everything adult my parents have done, degrees, careers, long term marriages and babies (other than me) have happened in my lifespan.

My mum and dad got married in August 1980 and I was born in April 1981 so my mum was either just pregnant with me or I was a honeymoon baby.

Less than 3 months. Short enough for my dad to ask if I was his

2-3 months. They’re still married but haven’t lived on the same continent since the late 90s.

8 years for me and 6 years for my older sibling. They did have two miscarriages before us though.

13 years . Had my sister 11 years after getting together .

14 months. They’d been together about five months when they got married; I was born 9 months and two weeks later.

4 years. Mum met my dad age 17, married him at 19 and had me at 21.

My parents had been married for 9 years before they had me, so I guess they had dated for a couple of years before that.

I.think.they met in 1970,or 1971 my sister was a bit of a surprise and they got married when my mum was three months pregnant and she was born in early 1972 , I was born in late 1973 so not long they are still together though!

Together 20 years, married 14 years. They met at school and weren't sure they wanted children but then decided to that's what they tell me anyway. I'm an only child.

Two weeks and I was conceived the night of their wedding

About 13 years I think. I'm 3rd child of 5.

They weren't. Dad cheated on his wife and got my mum pregnant with me. He left her and moved in with my mum. He'd told he was living in a bedsit and couldn't have people in. My mum found out when she was 7 months with me that he was married with 3 kids. His wife turned at her house with a knife with the intention of harming. She saw my mum was pregnant and changed her mind. It was obvious to her that mum had no idea. He was 45 and my mum 20 when I was born.

I (eldest) was born about 18 months after they got married. Not sure exactly how long they'd been together before that, think a year or two.

They only had a very short engagement, about 6 weeks, so apparently lots of their friends thought it must be a shotgun wedding and were disappointed when no baby materialised earlier!

18 years! I have siblings who are 17, 16 + 14 years older than me though

My parents were friends for a couple of years, got together in 1984, married 1985 and had me in 1990. DBro came along in 1996.

They're still together and happy.

3 months. Mum was told she could have kids and dads divorce wasn’t final. They agreed to separate until the divorce was final and then mum found out. They got married after I was born and stayed married until he died.
