You know I always think of it as an electric toothbrush but for the face.
I need something. I wash using a tea tree scrub and pat dry.

Moisturiser makes my already oily skin worse.

I have some scaring from acne, but I also have very prominent veins round my eyes.. Looks like I've been punched
And very noticeable open pores.

I still get so many spots, blind boils and occasional cysts... Which are excruciating and often havec to hace surgically removed.

I'm honestly not fiona from shrek. But I feel it.
Ive tried all the face washes wvn was told just use plain hot water.. But no luck.

So thinking one of those scrubber things? Are they any good.?

I would have thought they'd be very harsh on your skin, and yours sounds like it needs some love, not a scrubbing brush.

Have you seen a dermatologist? It might be worth paying to see one privately, especially given the surgical removals you talk about - that sounds agonising.

Have you been through hormonal treatments? Any medication? Antibiotics etc?

I can recommend Dermalogica as a gentle skincare brand. Clinique was too harsh for me, but I never had the issues you are describing.

I honestly think a private dermatologist would be a better use of your money.

I don’t have skincare issues apart from dry flakey skin patches, and oily bits and occasional spots but I now use Temple Spa products, instead of Clinique, Nivea, boots etc which I discovered were too harsh for my skin & causing the oily ness and dryness. So I would recommend that brand, but your skin sounds painful and I would ask to be transferred to a dermatologist by your gp or find a BUPA private one

I have a clarisonic. I love it. But it's essentially just a good way of getting your face clean with a bit of exfoliation. It doesn't sound like that's your problem tbh.

I'd agree with others that a trip to the GP or a dermatologist would probably be better

I'm not impressed with the clarisonic. Try hot cloth cleansing followed by a serum and moisturiser. Exfoliate once a week.
