I’m enjoying a bit of peace with coffee and the paper
No real plans today.
Dinner is in the slow cooker
Usual Sunday evening prep later

@Outfoxed
Are'nt language classes usually "same level"?
I have just bookmarked a Russian teacher I want to contact.
What's your language?

Apart from that, I am scanning again and no end in sight.

Sparklingbrook · 13/01/2019 12:21

Need to do some batch cooking for the week ahead but have zero energy
I know the short term pain of cooking today will be worth it midweek but I’m sooooooo demotivated

@Prokupatuscrakedatus

Swedish. I’m not sure if I can explain the school well. Basically there are four levels, which just sort of roll constantly, and so if you’re done with A you’ll move into class B even if it’s in the middle of term, so then you’re in a class with people who have covered different topics than you and are more used to the pace of the class etc. You do a six week introductory course, take a test, and they place you into a group. I’ve been sorted straight into class C, whereas some of the people in class c might have gone through a and b and been in school for months/years.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 13/01/2019 12:35

@Outfoxed
I see. That would make me feel a bit uneasy, too.
Good luck and have a lot of fun!

KetchupOnRoastDinner · 13/01/2019 12:38

I didn’t leave the house yesterday, so even though the weather is grim, I’m having a quick lunch and will then have a walk in the park with my audiobook.

On day 5 of cutting out sugar and dieting, so really trying to avoid shops and supermarkets. I walked past a bakery on Friday and the smell of sugared doughnuts was excruciating!

KetchupOnRoastDinner · 13/01/2019 12:40

@hobnobsaremyfave

I have a Kitchen Disco playlist for this purpose, two hours of high energy classics to cook to.

Pascha · 13/01/2019 12:43

Been for a walk in the woods, braved Tesco for veg for dinner later (roast), now eating lunch which will be followed by homework for the boys and then they want to start building some knex rollercoaster thing.

DerelictWreck · 13/01/2019 12:45

Had breakfast in bed with an episode of Poldark, then put the oven on to self clean, stripped the beds and sat here planning weekly food :)

Also, what was the anal thread?!

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 13/01/2019 12:47

Got friends coming round later today. Am still reading the paper, swigging coffee and hoping to skip lunch.

Antiquevintageandrusty · 13/01/2019 12:58

Had breakfast in bed with an episode of Poldark

This sounds fab Grin!

AngelOfDeathNix · 13/01/2019 13:17

So far I've done a bit of housework and am currently in the launderette as our washing machine flooded the utility room so that's fooked (washing machine and floor!). Need to put it all away when I get home aswell! Kids are off out with a friend in a mo and then I have a pile of stuff to sort and chuck out/in the garage, tip run and then dinner before the chaos of bedtime!

ColdCrumpetsandButter · 13/01/2019 13:19

Contemplating wrapping everyone up to head out for a walk/footy kick about esp as we didn't do anything yesterday apart from a jaunt round the woods.

Antiquevintageandrusty · 13/01/2019 13:22

We haven’t made it for our walk yet cold and I planned to go at 10am. I have now pushed it back to 3pm at the latest. Feel like we should go but sitting in my bay window with the sun (and the wind outside), my book and my dog is just so nice.

Bloomini · 13/01/2019 13:30

Making biryani whilst listening to the radio.

Waiting on DH to get back from an exhibition so we can go out for a walk.

Catching up on some work in between mnetting. Lots of coffee already and have had a lovely cooked breakfast to set me up for the daySmile

SapphireSeptember · 13/01/2019 13:33

I woke up with a sore throat and a croaky voice, skipped church and have just had some tomato and onion soup with some cheesy crackers. Throat feels a lot better now. Smile I need to tidy my room up, it's a shit tip. (Between Christmas, feeling run down, being busy and feeling knackered after work it's got out of hand. I now have a week off so it's getting sorted!)

zebrapig · 13/01/2019 13:49

We went to Ikea for breakfast and a browse as we needed some stuff for the house. Car park was empty when we got there and rammed when we left. I'm having lunch whilst DH and DC watch tv & play. General Sunday chores of washing & tidying to do and maybe a trip to the park if the rain holds off.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 13/01/2019 13:58

So much to do but feeling so lazy.

General tidy, emptied bathroom cupboards and content are now on the floor waiting to be put back.

Made some Mexican chicken soup for lunch but I don't like it. Wish I'd done a smaller portion for a first time recipe.

Need to hoover & mop.

DD wants mac n cheese for dinner so that's easy enough.

fussychica · 13/01/2019 14:22

In bed with a stinking cold, feel lousy though a bit better than yesterday. Fingers crossed I'll be back up and about tomorrow.

PocoyoandEllie · 13/01/2019 14:55

We had a party at soft play this morning for DS nursery friend, stopped off for a subway salad on the way home then baked cookies and put all the washing I did this morning away. Did the windows/mirrors, hoovered and mopped while DS played with his toys now he is playing on the ipad and I need to meal plan for this week as will go food shopping after slimming world in the morning. Hoping for a loss as maintained last week after 11 weeks of losing 2 stone! Only 5 more to go Hmm

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 13/01/2019 15:13

Arse shifted
Am trying to vary what we eat and eat less meat
Went to a new low waste shop near where I live yesterday and with the lentils I bought there am making a vegi shepherds pie
Trying to be less wasteful as well and using up veg from the fridge even if they are smidge past their best
Determined to waste less, eat more variety and cut down on our meat consumption
