Weenurse · 12/01/2019 03:20

👍❤️

DappledThings · 12/01/2019 07:02

Someone's got way too much time on their hands to be that peeved about a minor issue and write all that.

WhereAreAllTheUsernames · 12/01/2019 07:38

Dappled are you Richard? Grin

Sleepyblueocean · 12/01/2019 07:41

Karen doesn't need to have a blue badge. Mobility problems are enough.

DappledThings · 12/01/2019 07:45

Nope! Just someone not sweating the small stuff. I got beaten to the last P&C space yesterday by a man with no children and no car seats so not collecting any. It was a mild inconvenience. Definitely not worth expending the energy on writing l those scenarios out.

Maybe I'm just grumpy this morning. Just don't get what's funny about such a long whine.

Sirzy · 12/01/2019 07:50

That’s what I thought dappled

cocomomo · 12/01/2019 08:11

I agree with dapple, it's not especially funny.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 12/01/2019 08:14

so true to life OP!

Sargass0 · 12/01/2019 08:25

I don't think Parent & Child spaces are that difficult to get :)
There seem to be loads blocking the pedestrian entrance at my child's school every morning.
Don't be an arsehole -don't use the pedestrian entrance if you drive your kid to school!

username7000 · 12/01/2019 08:31

I used to work with a tosser who had very vocal opinions such as no need for parent & child spaces . This was when I had 2 quite young children and he was a lazy selfish sod who quite often I would want to hit him with my stapler .

hazeyjane · 12/01/2019 09:10

Don't forget Ben...Ben and Pete - Ben is 14, he has learning disabilities but doesn't qualify for a Blue Badge. Pete is Ben's dad, they have parked in a parent and child space because it is safer for Ben. Sometimes other parents roll their eyes at them, or leave a note on their car or point out that it's for parents with younger children or start threads on internet forums about how selfish they are*.

Then there is Sarah.....Sarah has a chronic health condition, which noone else can see, it makes life really hard for her, but she doesnt have a blue badge. Sometimes she parks in a parent and child space if she needs to gets to the toilet quickly or if she is struggling to walk far.
Sometimes parents roll their eyes at them, or leave a note on their car or point out it's for parents or follow them to see into the shop or make a comment about her weightor start threads on internet forums about how selfish they are*.

Don't be an arsehole like the people who feel they have the right to be the car park police.

*all actual examples of things people said they had done on a recent thread about p&c spaces

Samcro · 12/01/2019 09:20

what Hazeyjane said.

Processedpea · 12/01/2019 09:23

Second hazeljane too

fenneltea · 12/01/2019 09:33

I'd happily see parent and child spaces done away with and all parking spaces made wider and easier to use, wth the ones closest to the store reserved for disabled use only. Having children isn't a disablility.

Walking across a car park with children isn't a hardship and probably beneficial to our under exercised youth.

Providing parent and child spaces has sadly produced drivers who feel entitled above other users.

I was listening to a local radio station the other day when they were talking about P&C parking, and one caller, laughing as he talked about this, said that the “really funny” thing he does when he sees people without toddlers parking in a P&C space, is, he chases them across the carpark screaming something like “excuse me! You’ve left your child in the car!”

Which is definitely an arsehole sort of thing to do, given that he can’t possibly know if they’ve got other valid reasons to park there.

Lottapianos · 12/01/2019 09:47

'I'd happily see parent and child spaces done away with and all parking spaces made wider and easier to use, wth the ones closest to the store reserved for disabled use only'

I agree

x2boys · 12/01/2019 09:52

People who this I they are the same as disabled parking spaces are are holes, I was someone on Facebook complaining that someone with a blue badge had parked in a parent and child space and how would they like it if a parent parked in a disabled space .

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 12/01/2019 10:00

So really we should do away with parent and child and blue badge spaces as everyone has a hidden reason to use these spaces- tbh most people who park in either of these spaces without obvious cause are assholes

Lushlemming · 12/01/2019 10:05

The phrase "white male privilege" is both racist and sexist.

Reported.

Newjobnewstart · 12/01/2019 10:11

X2boys really you would grudge someone with a blue badge parking in a p&c space? Nice.

Personally i think p&c should be scrapped or placed at the back of the car park. More trouble than they are worth. (Yes i have children)

x2boys · 12/01/2019 10:13

No New job sorry it's this s stupid tablet it keeps changing words I saw someone on Facebook not I was !!!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 12/01/2019 10:14
