Current TV adverts that give you the rage?

This ad is on constantly, and maybe irrationally, I just find it incredibly annoying, the way one of the women is nodding her head to the "beat" at the start etc etc

Any ad you hate at the moment?

This is my fave thread ever.

The nationwide ones with that annoying couple in a photo booth (?) she NEVER wears matching socks....he snores like a RHINO....

Oh f** off

youngestisapsycho · 09/01/2019 21:55

The Halifax Ghostbusters ad for the contactless card... like it’s a brand new concept... contactless has been around for a few years now!

Littlebelina · 09/01/2019 22:02

Oral B (again). For reasons already listed plus why does she have so many peppers in her fridge? Does she suffer from selective amnesia where she forgets that oral B makes toothpaste and that she brought 6 peppers on Tuesday?

youngest oh yes! Any Halifax ad to be honest

Rosehip10 · 09/01/2019 22:06

And any nationwide ad in recent years!

My latest bugbear is the Aldi or Lidl one, where 'mum' harks on about 'dad' letting himself go a bit, says she's saved enough money by shopping there to pay for dad' s gym membership. Cue dad - 'i dont have a gym membership'. Mum to camera - 'you do now'. I just picture the uproar if it was a bloke telling his missus she'd put some timber on and he'd bought her a gym membership Grin

Teakind · 09/01/2019 22:34

Yes the talking poetry Nationwide adverts. I absolutely hate them and will mute the tv when they come on. So irritating.

NotOnTheBench · 09/01/2019 22:40

myusernamewastakenbyme: Gee thanks! Now I've got to go to bed with that awful postcode lottery tune in my head! Earworm!

NotOnTheBench · 09/01/2019 22:42

Any ad involving eating. No one - I mean no one eats cereal / choc bars / apples / magnums like that. Huge mouthful of food in your gob. Not in my house.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 09/01/2019 23:00

The Australian chameleon flipping energy suppliers. Why does it have to be Australian? Stupid!

Kookey · 09/01/2019 23:05

Gladstone Brooks....... Arrggghhhh
That over acting man twat, have you claimed your PPI yet, No? Why not? The deadline is looming......
Because you annoying shitbiscuit, If I want to, I will, by myself...
I have found myself on more than one occasion flipping the bird at his smug face, like he can see me and get all offended. Hanging my head in shame..

purplegoat · 09/01/2019 23:09

I hate ad too Op.

And all the Oral B ones. Especially the one who doesn't know they make a toothpaste (hasn't she seen all the annoying fucking adverts?) and she can't eat an apple properly. And in the oral b ads where they brush their teeth they never use any toothpaste!

I also hate the Duster car ad to the Ghostbusters theme "go duster!" Especially the bit where the scouts jump up from behind a bush and shout it but at the wrong part of the tune so it doesn't fit the designated "ghostbusters!" Bit! Angry

Witchofzog · 09/01/2019 23:29

Agreed to most of these. Especially the Always ones and their annoying clicky fingers over the pad.

Oh and Go Mahoosive with the All Inclusive Angry

Whisky2014 · 09/01/2019 23:33

Me and dh just agreed tonight if that sodding nationwide advert with the 3 old women nattering utter bollocks comes on, we will mute it.

BartonHollow · 09/01/2019 23:35

That Diet Coke With Mango Wanker

What an arsehole.

tararabumdeay · 09/01/2019 23:45

I will never think the same again about Phillip Schofield when he says about a young puppy, 'Aww, look, he's got my eyes.'

Yuk, yuk, yuk on so many levels.

FlyingMonkeys · 09/01/2019 23:59

Joey Essex and the borrow money against your car... Yes, we all know it's capitalising on him being 'thick', but it's the most horrific 2mins of wooden faced annoying twaddle going.... I also hate 'June' 😒

PissOffPeppa · 10/01/2019 01:30

I was just thinking tonight how much I hate that bloody Go Duster one. How the hell did the ad agency pitch that? “A woman comes out of a sex shop, and then she’s with her family driving along rocky landscapes and scouts jump out from behind a bush, all to the soundtrack of the Ghostbusters theme”

And that Godforsaken Oral B one. “How do I keep my MOUTH healthy?” Brush your teeth ffs how have you reached adulthood without knowing this???

PerspicaciaTick · 10/01/2019 01:37

The one with all the women bouncing on trampolines and pissing themselves...oops!

Iamtheworst · 10/01/2019 01:46

The admiral home and car insurance multi policy thing acting like they invented. The waitress says her insurances renew at different dates and they say they’ll add them at the renewal time. Then they say “quicker you tell us the quicker you save”. No you bloody don’t! You won’t save till you’re on the joint policy. Stop misselling. And stop pretending that you invented insurance.

MarcieBluebell · 10/01/2019 01:53

The aldi advert. The woman taps the man's belly saying he's now a member of a gym. She's harsh.

FlyingMonkeys · 10/01/2019 02:02

Also the Viagra ad where he's swanning around like a god with a face full of smug. The woman materialised from the bedroom to walking out of the living room as if she's stepped out of a tardis. He then swings her around and struts off with a 'I was great!' expression whilst spinning her away to simper at his awesomeness. Bluergh!

GnothiSeafton · 10/01/2019 07:29

The ad for Hilton Hotels, I can barely understand what she's saying.

ByeGermsByeWorries · 10/01/2019 08:01

The stupid oral B one

I know how to keep my body healthy...but how do you keep your MOUTH healthy? Angry

ByeGermsByeWorries · 10/01/2019 08:03

Also the terrible fixodent "are you worried it will feel like a narrrrrsty glue?"
