Help please, young voices at Sheffield arena

I have never been to Sheffield arena despite living only 40 minutes away.

Can anyone help me please, myself dh and ds are going tomorrow night to see dd take part in the young voices concert.

Are there restaurants within walking distance? Can we park at the arena and walk to centretainment? Or should we park at centretainment and walk to the arena?

My ds is 7 with suspected asd. I'm taking ear defenders for him. He's a little anxious already.

Thanks

Centertainment is directly over the road, so you can easily park at either and walk between. The walking distance restaurants are the ones at centertainment.

Mrsreacher thankyou. Do you know how much it is to park at the arena? How early should we arrive to get a park? The doors open at 6

Bumping for the evening crowd

Think we might take a tram from Meadowhall. Anyone done this? Is it easier to leave the arena after with no car park madness?

Parking at arena is £10 on the day £7 in advance. I'm going to Sheffield for Thursday's young voices. Arena is just over the road from restaurants etc.

Sorry, I forgot to check back after I replied. The traffic might be easier from Meadowhall but the tram will be very busy after the concert, and can be quite cramped. You can sometimes get on street parking somewhat nearby, but that’s probably a better option when you know the area.

I’ve not parked at the arena personally so I’m not sure what time you’d need to get there for a space.

I can't help with any info but my daughter has asd and she performed in the concert last year with ear defenders on and she was fine(but she is getting good with noise. She used to wear them for the everyday cinema screenings too but has progressed to just taking them, just in case if that helps you figure out her sort of level) I don't know how much it affects your DS as obviously it's a spectrum.) Hope your DS enjoys it.
