I love the smell of my six year old DD especially her hair, I don't like it when it's just been washed as it doesn't smell of her. I can tell when she's unwell from her smell.

I also love the smell of smoke from bonfires or domestic coal or wood burning stoves, they remind me of childhood for some reason and being comfortable and happy.

Home..... as in where I grew up. Every time we go to NZ to visit my family I open the car window fully as we enter the small village where home is, so I can get the build up of the smell. By the time I get to my family's farm I am in heaven. I grew up on a fairly remote coastal farm near a forest, Its hard to describe but it's a mix of all smells that create such a unique, warm, welcoming scent.

CatnissEverdene · 08/01/2019 19:04

When I was little I had whooping cough and my dad boiled up some tar in his garden shed to help me try and breathe easier. I've always loved the smell.
