For anyone who wants to learn the kondo method, there is a new series on Netflix! I've read some but not all of the book. Really enjoying the series so far 😂

I didn't massively enjoy the TV programme.... However DH watched it too and it seems to have had a positive effect. He bought some big clear plastic boxes to store bedding in and decided "to kondo-the-shit " out of the bathroom and airing cupboard last night. Hooray!

Saw this on Netflix but I can't quite muster the energy to watch it

I really enjoyed the first episode where every time the family opened their front door everyone did this high pitched squeal instead of saying hello.

I tried kondoing my clothes but only four things sparked joy and none of them are actually wearable in public. Hmm

Really disappointed in the Kondo series. The language barrier was slow and tedious. It had the potential to be really good, and I don't think any of them were ruthless enough, so none of them were properly kondo'ed!! I think Marie was far too polite, letting them keep far too much tupperware etc.
It was strange how they all had tidy living rooms too!
Consumed was miles more interesting, although the same predictable format (1 family member having a wobbly, but managed to get rid of their things in the end), it did seem a little staged at times.

Gosh yes, the semi screaming when answering the door followed by the awkward half hug of greeting and then the pause as the interpreter does a quick translation of of "hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiii"

PinkysEars · 08/01/2019 16:25

I've been watching Consumed, which is interesting, but some of it makes me really uncomfortable because some (many?) of the women look like they're drowning. Not just in the stuff, but in the lives they're living.

Also, it's a small point, but I really want to know how the production team choose the colours that they paint the children's rooms: I really hope they ask the children what their favourite colour is, but all the pink girls' rooms are making me twitch a bit.

Does she show you how to fold a fitted sheet? That’s all I want to know!

@cheesymonster yes!!!
