So what’s everyone up to today?

I have run away for a walk followed by and the Sunday paper
Just needed some down time as feel a bit peopled out after the Christmas madness
Later we are off out for a bit of a family walk followed by a roast
And then tomorrow is normality for everyone else (I’ve been back in work since Wednesday) so all the Sunday night bollocks that I hate
It’s been grey and cloudy here for days which sums up my cheerful January mood at the moment

Desperately trying not to think about going back to work tomorrow! Neighbours are having a party this afternoon so that will be a welcome distraction. New healthy eating/no boozing regime starts tomorrow so I fully intend to make the most of food and wine this aft

I'm very slowly and in very small bits attempting to clean, because ILs are visiting tomorrow. (They're not ones to complain if I didn't clean, but the place needs a good tidy anyway.) So far I'm just creating more mess, and have retreated for a coffee and MN. Laundry is laundrying, and the dishwasher is on a maintenance cycle, so I'm pretending I'm still "doing" something while sitting here.

Lazy day here. DH and DS out last night (seperately) but both rolled in at 2am. DH now doing a bit of DIY and DS on Xbox.
I'm cooking roast pork and mum will come for lunch.
Took Decs down on Wed and had a good clean then, I love it when all the decs come down.
I've been working over xmas (nhs) so no jitters about work. DH and DS went back to work last wed. DD may pop in later....
Looking forward to lunch then might watch a film. Feeling like I've got a cold coming so I'm glad I'm not doing much.

I've given up for the day but am trying to muster the motivation to feel differently...

I've been sorting back to school stuff for tomorrow so baking for pack-ups, uniforms ironed, swimming stuff located for dd2, thought about sarny fillings (fridge and cupboards are bare after running them down over the past week or so).

Need to nip to the shop for milk and find out whether the girls are being dropped off from Nanna's or I need to pick them up.

First though; I'm off to fold all my bloody clothes. My wardrobe fell down on Christmas night but I ignored it then propped it up on Boxing Day. It fell down a bit again on Friday so I left it alone, but now it's properly fallen down & clothes are in a messy heap on the floor

Had a lie in, done the ironing (which I don’t think had been done since pre-Christmas so a pretty big job), started some paperwork ready for tomorrow, had a tidy around and now planning a run. DC with my DM for a few hours so I can get things done.

Later will be more work for me, getting school bags ready and planning meals for the week!

Done the gym and long walk in Hyde Park with the dog chasing squirrels - off for pub lunch soon - typical Sunday really

Lie in this morning as my kids are still on holiday time, that’s not going to be fun in the morning. Had a bit of a tidy round and now putting new pictures and picture frames up as our front room looks empty without all my Christmas decorations.
We have my sister coming round later with her new girlfriend so I’m looking forward to that, then the normal roast, bath and shower DC and bedtime ready for school tomorrow!

Have made soup for lunches and a different one for dinner tomorrow. Have made a vegan shepherds pie for something different to a roast for dinner tonight. Laundry and house cleaning are all done just have to finish the ironing then will watch the rugby later before enjoying a glass of wine before back to work tomorrow.

About to watch 11 year old DD play netball. Others have gone to watch women's hockey. This morning I have planned for the building work we are about to start, read with ds2(6) and practiced netball with dd1. DH has worked and boys had some Xbox time. This afternoon I'm cooking a lasagne with ds2 for her homework and DH is going to do some coding on the micronutrients with the others. Ironing and paperwork tonight. Deep joy!

Driving for six hours to get to the airport to fly home from America. It’s not that the nearest airport is far from where we are, it’s about 30mins, it’s that we use DH’s air miles to save money but usually end up flying in and out of random airports because of this.

Am now finally shifting and batch cooking like mad
Roast veg soup, roast dinner for later and a Thai curry on the go
Hopefully get a bolognaise done as well

Kudos to batch cookers! I always mean to, and never round to it.

I've got the house presentable, and have given up on more cleaning. Considering some quick baking now, probably these ginger biscuits , which haven't failed me yet.

I've just sat down after a busy morning!

Finally got on top of the decluttering and housework.
Rearranged mine and DDs room - moved some furniture about to give her more space to play and made my room a lot more minimal. Needed to make my bedroom a sanctuary.
Hoovered all the rooms and steamed the tile floors.
Done 3 loads of washing, changed the beds, cleaned the dogs room and the bathrooms.
On my second dishwasher load too.

Need to make some dinner soon and then I don't plan on doing much else more

DS is popping home for tea so will be nice to see him (and probably girlfriend)
Wine in the fridge to take the edge off Sunday night 😂

Got up with DC, fed & showered them.
Went for a run.
Fed & showered myself.
DH and I did some quick tidying and putting things in the loft.
Went to DM's for lunch, which was absolutely delicious.
Left my family there & I'm now at work where I'll be for the next 7 hours.
