I'm curious as to why estate agents bother doing that though. I mean when people turn up to view, it's going to be obvious straight away it's not as big as it looks. That would just have me thinking 'if they'll lie about the size of rooms, what else do they lie about'? I'd just wall away as soon as I saw it for fear of what problems there might be. Seems counter productive, but I guess it must work on some people.

Sometimes it's useful to use a wide lensed camera to show detail but you would think any reputable estate agent (is that an oxymoron 🤔) would clearly state if they had done so.

I don't see the point. A house we looked at did this, living room looked good size, get there and it's tiny. Looking back, not only had they used wide angle shots. They'd also shifted the furniture around the breakfast bar so it looked like there was more space, you could tell by how it lined up with the pictures on the wall!
