That I weigh more this morning than I did on Dec 30th after 2 weeks of binge drinking and eating/ sedentaryness ( is that a word?)...?????????

Since Jan 1st:

I am Dry Januarying
Have got back to eating properly
Went for my first run of the year

I have however:

Got my period but am 2 days in now
Eaten a few of the last Xmas bits.. half a bag of kettle chips and about 5 dairy milk chocs.

But I am disheartened to see I appear to have gained 2lbs since the 30th 😳

Anyone got any insight before I give up, crack open the wine and order a curry?

Nb - I feel like I haven't had a good poo for sometime (tmi.. sorry) could that be part of it?

Your body can sometimes take a couple of weeks to catch up with itself, especially if you're bloated. Try sipping freshly boiled water to see if you can get things moving?

Thanks @socktastic

My stomach definitely feels bloated, I honestly find sometimes that when I stop drinking for a bit my weight goes up! Not very motivating!

Poo
Period - water retention reducing but not gone
First run - weight can increase after new exercise as your muscles get used to it. Think it's glycogen replenishing or something
Salty crisps

Can all easily put on 2lbs but it won't be fat.

I benefit from daily weighing to get in the zone - I can identity fluctuations better. Worth a try? I know it's not for everyone

Yes I tend to weight daily too.

Did ahem.. shift some balast this morning and weight has gone down by 0.5lb.

Too much salt is probably my downfall.. have a savoury tooth rather than a sweet one. Am drinking lits of water too.
