That FB thing you do to unlock all your 'friends'...

Anyone else completely failing to get it to work?

So many friends who I trust rave about it, but my tap-and-hold 'anywhere on this post' to 'copy'- gives me 'copy URL' as my only option: then 'go to your page' - what page? And 'paste', and suddenly 'all your FB friends will be available to you!' Apparently.

My 'page' is presumably 'My Story' but holding down on that doesn't give me any 'paste' option!

Anyone know about this?

I'm not naive. I did it because I have 250 friends on fb but I see the same old friends every day. I did it and I've now got a new news feed. There is no conspiracy theory

It's total bullshit, copying and pasting statuses, just posts a status, it doesn't unlock friends or change anything.

Sammysquiz · 04/01/2019 06:44

Of course it’s bollocks, copying and pasting cannot change FB’s algorithm. If you’re seeing different people’s posts since trying it it’s because different people have posted stuff.

It’s just a status. Can I change my messenger settings by copy and pasting “inbox me hun” from all the other dickheads who write it? No. So why would your newsfeed settings change from copying a status post (btw they can actually be changed individually in your settings)
