I realised I've never had a cold sore ... Have

After years of batteling with a 'cold sore' that never seemed to work go away with the cream and took forever to heal wasn't a cold sore but angular cheilitis..... After using daktarin whe. It flares up it always goes away .....sadly it's left the corner of my mouth slightly darker as it's scarred ..

I find it odd that I've never had a cold sore ...

Lansinoh lanolin balm (sold as nipple cream in the baby section of Boots) is excellent for preventing AC starting and good for healing it if it does. Won't treat the root cause obviously but it's fantastic stuff.

My mom had h-simplex all of their marriage, but my dad never got cold sores; it's like he was immune.
