Do you have a fit bit?

Do you love your fit bit? Would I love a fit bit?

I'm starting a new job tomorrow that involves walking a lot. I'm toying with the idea of getting a fit bit to wear while working. I use the endomondo app on my phone occasionally for walking and it does encourage me to walk more but it drains the battery so I don't use it daily. I really only use when I plan a long walk and I wouldn't be using it at work as I would need my phone to last the day.

I'm very overweight and kind of interested in loosing weight but not interested enough that I will be making any major changes to my diet or doing any exercise other than walking at work and with my dog. Maybe tracking food might make me question whether I really need to eat an entire packet of Reece's Pieces for my supper or whether a tube of Pringles is a good choice for lunch but it wouldn't make me rigidly stick to a calorie controlled diet.

Would I love a fit bit or is it going to get as much use as the step machine gathering dust in corner of my room?

I might buy the letscom one and upgrade later if I keep using it.

I definitely think that's the way to go, especially since you seem hesitant about it. There's no need to spend a lot, and remember there are great weight loss and exercise threads on here to help give some extra encouragement.

The letscom one also allows you to get notifications from your phone which is great for the price.
