Boring thread Alert - Pens for drawing on wood?

Sorry for the most boring thread of the day.

Does anyone with knowledge of crafts and art have any idea which fine tip pens would be good for drawing on wood, without bleeding into the paint below.

Cheap would also be a bonus. Grin

Paint markers. Posca pens are the artist quality ones that come in all colours and different nib widths. But they aren't the cheapest (although sometimes they are on offer - my local art store was selling them for £1 each recently)
If you search paint markers on Amazon you'll find cheaper versions but not sure of the quality. Might be worth a try depending on your project

Oww thank you for the reply. I've never heard of paint markers. I assume they draw like normal pens and none of the paint spreads / bleeds after it's applied? I will definitely look into them if this is the case.

Yes they're not like Sharpies that would soak into the wood. They sit on top like paint would. You can probably find YouTube videos of posca pens that might give you a better idea of how they flow

That's fantastic news wobblington they sound like exactly what i'm looking for.
