Can you name three good things that came out of 2018? (Can you tell I am home alone on NYE drinking tea?)

We all have our health
Dd using a great place, ds happy
Getting on well with dh

Mines sad, we have lost 3 very much loved family members in 2018. But. We stood together and supported each other and made it through a truly terrible year.

Sorry to hear that, Aadvark, but very glad to hear that you got through it together.

Cleared off my car loan
Got accepted onto a uni course
Got a cat

And can i cheat and have another - taught severely autistic DS to ride his trike after several years or trying.

My second book was published.
Wrote my third.
Went to Iceland.

Won a competition
Still have a roof over my head
Still have food in the cupboards

@Aardvarkitsabloodyaardvark I'm so sorry. That must have been really tough.

1. Lounge decorated and lovely at last, after a lot of saving and hard work.
2. My true friends were amazing when I had some bad times recently and I am truly grateful for them.
3. Discovered (and love) Instagram.

Nice holiday with DC and my parents.
Trip to Xmas market.
I’ll come back when i’ve thought of a third.

Ds started school and absolutely loves it

We had an offer accepted on a new house

Absolutely amazing once in a lifetime trip to lapland was everything I hoped it would be

Adopted a wonderful dog
DS1 started secondary school and is doing really well
I got a new job

Seeing Hamilton
Discovering a new talent
Developing a special bond with someone

1. Completely stopped biting my nails after doing it since age 10.

1. Stopped being so anxious and recognised that life is short (ish) and I should quit worrying and go after opportunities/new experiences

1. Went surfing for the first time...I was pretty hopeless, but it was fun and I want to continue. One day, I'll actually stand up on the board.

1. Had our beautiful DD2

1. Got our loft converted so all of our children have somewhere to sleep (we were squished in like the waltons for a while before)

1. Finally got some help with my depression and after starting medication I finally feel human again and my family have commented that I’m back

It’s been a spectacularly shit year besides those things though and I am definitely glad to see the back of it
