I want to take 11 year old dd into London today, any ideas of what we can do? She's very fussy and doesn't really enjoy museums any more. Thinking of somewhere that's nice to wander about, good places to eat and a bit of shopping.

Camden Market.

Camden Market was my first thought too. You can get lost for hours there. Make sure you go to the main area around the Stables Market not the bit nearest the Tube station.

The best food is to be found in the Kerb London area next to the water.

Thanks, that's a good idea and not too far from where we live. My other thought was maybe the South Bank?

Depends on what you want to do on the South Bank. For an 11 year old it could be fun or an intensely boring walk along a river.

Borough Market (foodie but expensive).
London Eye (overpriced).
BFI (depends what's on)
National Theatre
Shard
Old Operating Theatre Museum (probably not tbh).
Aquarium
Tower Bridge
Tower of London (technically North Bank)

You'd probably want to cross the water and go to Covent Garden too.

Hyde Park and Winter Wonderland

Wahaca is a fun Mexican place to eat, you can order lots of small plates and mocktails.. there are a few in London, Covent Garden, South Banks....
London Eye or maybe the new Body Worlds Place depending on what you’re into!

South bank is fab - walk along to the Shakespeare theatre whose name escapes me (rose, swan??). I usually start at st Paul’s then over the wobbly bridge to the Tate modern. Great views.
