What did you achieve in 2018?

My instinctive reaction is to assume this year has been a disaster, but reflecting on it, that’s really not the case. I’ve given up booze, made first steps towards a long awaited career change, and various other things.

At a time when we’re thinking about what we want to change, or achieve, I’d really like to hear about those things of which people are most proud-big or small.

I got divorced. The cord is cut. I am not completely free of him but the clouds are parting and it feels like the sun is coming out again.

Namechanged, your comment is so sad.. I'm sorry you feel so low. Please hang in there... I hope 2019 will be a much better year for you. Sending a hug and a hand hold x

Thank you. Each of the last few years has been progressively worse. Losing my baby brother this year was unexpected, sudden and just too painful.

I'm 46. I'm just waiting for it all to be over tbh.

Bugger all

Hoping 2019 is better

I lost 8 stone (not as good as it sounds, its not even half of the weight I want to lose), and also I opened an Etsy shop in October and up until mid December when I shut for Christmas, I’ve made 193 sales.

Ive decided my word for 2018 was ‘Progress’. I still have lots to do but at least I’ve made a start.

Back in January someone on tv (can't remember who) said to make 2018 two thousand and great-een, it's cheesy but it struck a chord and so after 5 years of being depressed I finally forced myself to talk to my gp.

The medication took a couple of months to make a difference and was ok but I realised I had to help myself too so in October made a concerted effort to lose weight, I'm almost 3 stone down with 1.5 to go and feel a hundred times better than I did this time last year.

I ran my 1st marathon. Considered one of the most gruelling in Europe.

And i did bloody brilliantly!

We emigrated.
Kids started new school.
Bought a house in new country. Sold old house.
I got a new job and then another new job.
Am studying.
And volunteering.
Made some friends in new country.

Hoping for no big changes in 2019! Would like to relax and have fun x

Sometimes I think just putting one foot in front of the other can be the biggest achievement.

I think you’re all remarkable.
