DH and I are out for a night in the city centre. Can you recommend where is a good place to eat whilst we don't have children in tow?

Really Fab? I’ve hoping to book there soon and the website doesn’t say anything about closing - it seems to be taking bookings?

EmiliaFart · 30/12/2018 17:53

Can't find any mention of Home closing down?

You can book for next year here and their social media is still active/up to date?

millimat · 30/12/2018 20:54

We're looking for 3rd Jan and Home doesn't appear to be open that night, but doesn't say it is closed either.
Vice and virtue is open but prob more expensive than I wanted when you add on the drinks.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Tattu is lovely.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 30/12/2018 21:01

When we went to vice and virtue we didn't have the drinks they recommended just a cocktail and a couple of bottles of wine! We've learnt that a tasting menu with the recommended drinks can be a bit too much! Either that or we aren't hardcore enough!

BiscuitDrama · 30/12/2018 21:01

Barbara is correct with the name 42 The calls, mrs grindah

BarbaraofSevillle · 30/12/2018 21:10

But I think the point Mrs was making is that it's a hotel not a restaurant.

Bundobust is closed later this week too. Sounds like no-ones eating out in Leeds next weekend.

tryinganewname · 30/12/2018 21:49

Heard that Vice and Virtue is very hit and miss.
Man behind the curtain is supposed to be great.
Came on to sat Bundobust too but not sure it's what you're looking for!

Powergower · 30/12/2018 21:52

Bundobust.

ScarletPower · 30/12/2018 21:53

42 The Calls restaurant is really lovely, as is the hotel.

millimat · 30/12/2018 22:06

OK so on the general consensus here (and the fact that many places are closed) I've booked vice and virtue. Their 5 course tasting menu which should be £40pp is £49 pet couple for January Grin

42The Calls is the Hotel which is open. Brasserie 44 was in the same building and has closed. The foundry has changed hands and is now known as Matt Healey at The Foundry.
Let us know about Vice and Virtue OP...been dying to try that.

millimat · 01/01/2019 22:22

Will do mrsgrindah
Next question - got a few hours to explore Leeds city centre. Where shall we go?

millimat · 03/01/2019 21:52

@MrsGrindah loved it! You need to go and visit it. I was terrified going in...

MrsGrindah · 03/01/2019 21:58

Ooh! Thanks for coming back! What was good about it?

Amazonian27 · 03/01/2019 22:00
