Flamed for my anxiety but I’m determined to beat this. Guess what I’ve just done!

I recently posted when I was in need of distraction due to a situation my ds2 was in a few weeks back. I was waiting to hear he had arrived safely and just needed something else to concentrate on so I didn’t harass him with messages. Whilst some posters were lovely, there was the usual crew sticking the boot in with insensitive remarks about my anxiety. I had to walk away before I let myself get worse.

Anyway, I’m continuing on my progress to recovery and one has been to not message the children asking where they are etc unless they are late/ I have an actual cause for concern. The whole holiday I have succeeded and just now I let the two older ones and a friend take dd (8) out with them too. They are ultra sensible and I haven’t given rules/ times because I know I can trust their judgment. They have phones if needed and I doubt they’ve gone far, probably over fields, the park or shop or something.

I’m mindful that they are out and I’m thinking of them, but there’s no panic attack, no chest pain, no pacing around.

I can and will be fine!

Happy new year to you all!

The link isn’t really helpful. If you suffer too I suggest you don’t read it.

"The link isn't really helpful"

I'm not sure if you mean a link to the original thread or the link to the app I gave, but sorry if what I posted

You should be so fucking proud of yourself. You have realised that your anxiety doesn't control you unless you allow it. I have been there and completely understand. You have reached a massive turning point. Well done!

Flowers well done!! Huge steps forward!!

The link to the original thread. It made me really sad so I’d prefer it if it wasn’t linked.
