Anyone thinking of doing Veganuary?

Have thought about it the last few years but chickened out for various reasons (tea or coffee without proper milk being one!)

Now feel I ought to give it a go. We eat plenty of plant based meals as it is but hopefully doing it will widen the repertoire and help me reduce dairy intake by making me rely on alternatives for a month. Going without meat won't be too hard but cheese definitely!

However we are moving house mid month and I think I am pregnant (the test was very very faint so waiting til tomorrow to do another) so if I don't last the distance I won't beat myself up too much. Have a DH and 3 year old DS who won't be joining in.

Anyone else?

We (DH and I) are doing well and will continue as vegans from now on. Yesterday I made smokey split pea soup. Tonight I'm making jackfruit tacos from the bosh book and have all the ingredients to make noodle soup and aubergine rogan josh tomorrow. We're still finding it really easy and are also switching over to cruelty-free household and beauty products with no problems. We're both grateful to each other as it's much easier doing this together and I feel like it's made our relationship stronger as well. I wish everyone else well no matter what you choose to do and hope some good has come out of it for everyone.

I'm still struggling on , it's sooo much harder than being vege . I haven't found anything I really love and haven't lost loads of weight which I was hoping would be a lovely reward 🙄🙄.. never mind , I'll do it til the end of jan and then see how I feel ..
I did buy a wicked brownie today which is nice for a bit of cake ( haven't eaten any cake for ages )

I must confess I've found it really easy. But I was vegan before I had the kids so it's been going back to a way of life rather than adopting a new one. Hoping to continue past January.

Struggling a bit today.
Went out on a do and the vegan meal was mashed potato with a roasted pepper on top and a piece of tofu with two boiled potatoes. It was vile yet the vege option looked yummy. I was surprised a chef could come up with something so, inedible (I left it).

The starter soup was nice but I missed real butter on my roll. I need to get used to asking venues if they have alternatives maybe.

I've been vege for 30 years but finding veganism harder. I think it's the going out part and places that aren't offering creative or tasty options.
