What wouldn't you spend a huge amount of money on?

Vaguely linked to the lottery thread and some threads about Xmas presents.

If you were rich beyond your wildest dreams, what things could you just not spend excessive amounts on?

For me I remember seeing an advert for face cream with diamonds in it for £100's and being completely unable to fathom spending that much.

Clothes would definitely have a upper limit of about £200 per item for jumpers or jeans etc and I think it still shop highstreet mostly.

I'd still buy own brand medicines!

I'm sure there's an awful lot more but my mind's gone blank, what about everyone else?

Big house here too. Happy with ours. Id buy the kids houses though as no idea how they will ever get one otherwise.

Won't change my car. I own my dream car and i bought it this year. It was 20k amd thats enough on a lump of metal.

I wouldn't buy jewellery as i have what i need with memories.

I dont wear make up so wouldn't buy expensive branded makeup.

I suspect id give a lot away. Maybe fund a local charity.

wow - you lot are killjoys Grin
If I was rich beyond my dreams (in which case that would be pretty rich as I have a great imagination!) I would most certainly have:

Lots of houses in lots of places - NY, London, Venice, Lisbon etc and I would spend my time moving between them for different seasons / events and they would have a different vibe in each place and I would keep them stocked with all that I need clothes / makeup etc so no luggage to haul about.

I would have housekeepers / chefs

I would have a VAST jewellery collection - mainly diamonds

A wine cellar - possibly a scenic vinyard in the south of France...

I would have a library in each house and I would complete a phD for the sheer pleasure of it, not because it was leading to a career move

I would look after my family with houses etc

I suspect I would have no problems getting used to the money or spending it.......Grin

Wouldn’t spend money on

Cars, I’d get a nice but average one

Jewellery, also meh

Would spend on
Property, but more interested in the garden than the property
Food, posh restaurants
Holidays

Not interested in expensive holidays.
I wouldn't replace the car, although in fairness, I am not the household driver.
Not interested in expensive jewellery.
I wouldn't go out of my way to buy designer clothes (but if I saw something I loved that happened to be expensive, I'd buy it).
I wouldn't buy any different cosmetics than I presently do.
I wouldn't start having any beauty treatments.
I wouldn't take out Sky, Netflix or similar - happy with Freeview!

I'd spend £££ on a house (not looking for a mansion, more something quirky like an ex-windmill). And £££ on getting it professionally decorated.
I'd spent on art work (particularly if I could support up-and-coming artists).
I'd look into having breast reduction surgery!
I'd buy a state of the art sound system.
I'd hire a cleaner and a regular gardener.
