I drank far too much wine yesterday. Now currently feeling like death, lay in bed scared to move incase the room starts spinning again. How do i start to feel just even a little bit better?Blush

Tea and toast, followed about an hour later by Pepsi Max and a cheese and crisp butty.

GMtoBe · 26/12/2018 11:20

A dioralyte, glass of orange juice, really hot shower but leave your hair wet after and eat something with chilli in it.

CosyToast · 26/12/2018 11:21

McDonald's, hash browns and hair of the dog 😂

CIT80 · 26/12/2018 11:22

Lots of fluids and try to eat something and stay in bed as long as you can - hair of the dog will work but if you are really hungover it will be a struggle ! You have my sympathy hope you feel better soon hangovers are the route of all evil

CosyToast · 26/12/2018 11:22

Or a huge cooked breakfast and lots of tea 😍

StorminaBcup · 26/12/2018 11:24

Dioralyte is great if you can keep it down or Berrocca. Failing that ibuprofen, something fizzy and a bag of crisps. Hope you're feeling human again soon Brew

NapoleonsNose · 26/12/2018 11:26

Coke, something greasy and salty, painkillers and a lie on the sofa all day if you can get away with it works for me.

Chickenfillets · 26/12/2018 11:27

There's no way i could stomach another alcoholic drink. Cleaning up the empty bottles from last night was enough to make me gag. Mcdonalds, full fat coke, nap and hot shower seems like the best cure, so thats the plan!

WWYDhelpplease · 26/12/2018 11:31

A hair of the dog does work though. Just saying.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 26/12/2018 11:38

Put a chug of vodka or brandy in your full fat coke

ThePurpleOneIsOverrated · 26/12/2018 11:48

Hair of the dog works with mild to moderate hangovers, but if it's an absolute monster, then the thought will absolutely turn your stomach.

For me, it's orange juice, Macdonalds, coke, salt and vinegar crisps, Nurofen and sips of water. Sleep if you can, but I find it impossible to sleep when I'm really badly hungover.

Oh and yes to a shower! Definitely helps a bit.

tablelegs · 26/12/2018 11:49

Fry up and irn bru. It's the only way.

Shower later on, painkillers and an early night.

Itwillgeteasieripromise · 26/12/2018 11:53

How are you feeling OP ?

Bedsheets4knickers · 26/12/2018 11:55

Think I drank myself sober yesterday , taking it easy today 🥂

GhostSauce · 26/12/2018 11:56

I'm right there with you OP.

Currently sitting on the kitchen floor eating leftover roast potatoes. Thank god I don't have to leave the house today.

Chickenfillets · 26/12/2018 12:08

Half way through eating my mcdonalds. Its a struggle but im getting there Sad

AtrociousCircumstance · 26/12/2018 12:24

I love sitting down in the shower, hungover or not.

Give your body enough hydration, salt, sugar and carbs and sooner or later you’ll suddenly be feing human again.

Kittykat93 · 26/12/2018 12:38

@2019Mummy

Why do you always come onto these threads to state you don't drink alcohol?? What do you want - a medal? Hmm no one cares.

HolyMountain · 26/12/2018 13:05

I never understand the need of teetotallers to come onto hangover threads and stare the bleedin’ obvious. Twatty behaviour.

Berocca
Banana
Shower
Sleep.

HolyMountain · 26/12/2018 13:06

*state

Millie2013 · 26/12/2018 14:10

Someone on another thread recommended sturgeron travel pills (which may not help right now, but I’ve bookmarked in my brain for the next time I have a hangover)
I’ve been telling everyone about this, as a little Christmas gift (so they’d better work Grin)

GhostSauce · 26/12/2018 14:14

Anyone else tempted by a cold beer? I'm not sure if it will fix me or kill me.

Toffeecea · 26/12/2018 15:29

You have my sympathies OP, my hangovers get bigger and bigger as I get older. Diorlyte, nap and carbs usually sort me out. If I have a few drinks now I take a Diorlyte before bed, it's an absolute game changer

Eatmycheese · 26/12/2018 23:58

Sex
Full fat coke
Ready salted walkers
Water
Sleep.

If you have kids all of the above minus sleep

SunburstsOrMarbleHalls · 27/12/2018 01:07

Bit late for you but my fail safe routine is:

Dioralyte before bed - it can be hard to stomach but I usually drink a glass of water straight after it too.
First thing in the morning a Berocca (or generic equivalent)
2 paracetamol

Stops the icky stomach feeling and headache.

Bacon sandwich and then feel fine.
