Does anyone else find it annoying someone that always leaves some food on the plate?

Even if they serve themselves out they always leave something on the plate. I know their choice and everything, but to me it is a bit annoying leaving this food to be binned every meal. If you add it up over the year it's probably several weeks work of meals and at a time where so many need food banks.

I was brought up to have a little on my plate and ask for seconds if I wanted more. My mum never plated up food before hand. She would put everything in serving dishes and serve it out at the table.

The concept of putting too much food on a plate to be overfaced with food is alien to me.

Lonicera you seem to be quite invested in this. You've called people who leave food on their plate as snobby, outdated and social climbers Confused. It would appear that in your world only those with health problems are allowed a pass.

If your council don't do food recycling, you could always compost it.

I'm not a fan of food waste either - my fridge is always full of glass dishes of extras, but I really don't think it is a healthy approach for people to feel they must clear their plates.

I'm not putting cooked food on my compost heap. For a start I don't think you are supposed to, and it attracts rats.

Bwahahahahaha!

Do people really care if others leave a few peas on their plates?!!

Have you got nothing better worry about, like the picking the spots on your belly or something?
