Bonus

Got a Christmas bonus at work, yay!

It's a gift card, like a love to shop voucher so I can spend it like cash but it's not just disappeared into the main funds.

As such I thought I d spend it on something nice.

I have a few ideas but thought I'd ask what everyone else would do.

A) super practical - new bedding sets, pillows etc. Nothing fancy just nice matching ones with enough pillow cases

B) Sort of practical - new fancy pan set.

C) Me present - food whisk (And maybe some more baking equipment

D) something else?

I have a voucher too, I love wandering around putting virtually whatever I want in the trolley! I normally buy new towels, expensive shampoo, some bras, clothes, cd for the car, nice bottle of gin, lipsticks. I make a point of no food and nothing for the kids because it’s my bonus , not theirs !

Ooh, what a lovely dilemma
Depending on the value and what I need, I might buy something practical and then treat myself (to some hotel chocolat, a nice bottle of wine and some lovely bubble bath)

Weve always treated windfalls under 100 for treats. Although they usually end up being a little practical like a new winter coat on sales we have been known to buy quite a bit of half price chocolate at Hotel Chocolat in the past!

Over 100 half treat and half practical.

Partner won't care what I spend it on fortunately!

It's 120, so not a huge amount but enough to get a fairly expensive thing I'd normally hum and har over, or save for.

Half price hotel chocolat is already in my sights...

I think an electric whisk might be a gateway to more frequent (and expensive) baking... But then my mixing bowl has just informed me it's retired...without notice, half way through my baking session. So maybe (lots of) pyrex is in order!
