Can someone clever help with this please?

Just to start I may be a bit thick have no scientific basis for this theory, and am just hypothesising.

Dh thinks I’m ridiculous but I’m hoping some clever people will come along and help.

I have a horrible cold which I was annoyed about, however all my dc (3 of them) and my dh have all been struck down with a sick bug over the last week. I have been looking after all of them, cleaning up sick, changing beds about 457 times a day and providing cuddle care as and when necessary. All of this and I’m not sick???

Could it have something to do with my cold? Can viruses fight off other viruses? Or should i count myself out for Christmas

When you get a cold, isn't the blocked nose the body's way of preventing other viruses from getting in while it's fighting off the cold? The excess mucus in the nose barrs the way. So you could be right OP if that's true about why we get blocked noses

Rafa that's interesting as I am a B blood group and haven't had a proper stomach upset since 2009 (dodgy food I think) despite having two young children

@Ollivander84 I'm aware what I wrote sounded a bit silly- I'm a teacher and I can get through the term without being poorly and as soon as I stop for the holidays it normally hits me!

Thanks everyone. Still not sick was half expecting after writing that last night I was going to go down with it overnight. The blood group thing is interesting as I am b. I do tkink there may be something to the mucus theory though, that is stops other germs.
