What will it be?

I'd have 'No Brexit'.

Just go back to life as it was. No more discussion or worries, no more wasted acres of newsprint, no more boring on about fucking Brexit all the damn time. Ah - that would be bliss!

Well this was a much darker/sad thread than one expected

spiderlight · 21/12/2018 18:32

One more day - or even one more minute - with my lovely, lovely dad, who passed away last week :(

juneau · 21/12/2018 18:37

Gosh, I was hoping it would be lighthearted and silly too!

My commiserations to those of you missing loved ones Flowers

Actually, I think Brexit is now a good idea. I didn't at first, and voted to remain, but the whole Brexit fiasco has forced me to look into things a little more deeply.
Unless Europe is federalised, the EU is an antiquated and dying ideal.

It was a good idea, a very good one, after the wars. But unless every country is allied at economical level, it will inevitably be an economic failure. I for one, do not want to be paying for Greece's fiscal policies when they collapse

A WTO agreement without payment, ensures trade will still exist, and the c.£39billion can be used to fund tax relief on business. Let us not forget that we already have a higher percentage of trade with non-EU countries, too. All the racist crap about the NHS...most of our "immigrants" come from non-EU? We will always be able to have people work here....they will just come in on a VISA. ( A bit like my friends from China and Russia!)

Politics aside, all I want for Christmas is my family to be happy.

MotherWol · 21/12/2018 19:10

No Brexit, but I don’t want things back the way they were, I want the austerity that caused so much division and caused this situation to be fixed too.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 21/12/2018 19:42

Sorry Juneau. I was going to say a Dyson Airwrap, but then I realised I would go without a lifetime of Christmas presents to have just a few more Christmas Days with DH. But on the bright side, this time last year he was in intensive care and it was touch and go, so every day we are together is like Christmas (Sorry for the cheese)

Cailleach · 21/12/2018 19:45

A normal brain.

AnnabelleLecter · 21/12/2018 19:49

Normal close relatives.
No dramas, game playing, criticism, favouritism, coldness, jealousy.
Just nice kind people. (Some of them are and I appreciate them soooo much. I wish they all were)

Singlenotsingle · 21/12/2018 19:54

Someone to give my car a complete clean and valet. I suggested it to dp, but he didn't look keen. Hmm

Thetruthfairy · 21/12/2018 20:45

World peace 🌎 🕊

LonelyandTiredandLow · 21/12/2018 20:50

No brexit here too. Seems like a world away when I felt proud of UK after the Olympics. Fully feeling the citizen of nowhere our PM sees us as.

AmIIntrouble · 21/12/2018 20:54

I am not greedy but two millions pounds should resolve all my current problems. Grin

Rockbird · 21/12/2018 21:13

To not find everything so hard. I can't bear it anymore. My kids screech at each other, the house is a tip, no one cares if I'm here or not. I can't bear the noise or the lights or the thought of the next few days and all the people. Aside from that I exist purely to do things for other people and get nothing back from anyone. I've had enough.

FoonaLagoonaBaboona · 21/12/2018 23:48

No toothache , and the money to replace the 2 teeth I about to loose after Xmas Xmas Shock

To have both my parents back and just give them a hug

Bloodybridget · 22/12/2018 07:12

For the next five days to pass with no tantrums or meltdowns from DGCs. A bonus would be them both being asleep by 9pm.
