Bra intervention, please?

Hi, I'd like to find a really nice dress for Christmas but I think I need to find a decent bra first. Never been measured before.

I'm a size 14ish and currently wearing a 36C. Which is guess work. I'd really like a decent fitting bra which lifts and supports my boobs and doesn't give me back fat rolls -really selling myself here-

I've seen a bra intervention thread before but didn't join in, could someone help please? Where and how do i measure?

Try this.

I'm a 20/22 and wear a 36 back so you probably measure as a smaller back size with a bigger cup

I used like link and measured 37 under bust. The boob measurement, do you do it pulled firm or loose?

The under bust should be tight and the over bust should be looser. Are you sure about the 37? I'm over 15 stone and measure that under bust.

Google boob or bust and measure yourself at home, then go to a large shop and try them on. Or, if you have one, go to Bravissimo. Avoid M&S and Debenhams like the plague.

I've tried it several times and it's 37 each time. The bust measurement is 41, so that makes me a 36D I think?

I'd try 36D and 36DD

debenhams do a back smoothing bra if youre having trouble with that, but yknow, I think having any tight band across your fleshy parts, enough to give you decent support is going to give you some "backfat" I really wish people would stop worrying about this sort of shit, like VPL etc. You wear tight underwear and tight clothes on top, people are gonna see the lines.

Or there are always longline bras, or basque/bodysuits

Blackladybug · 20/12/2018 20:44

I'll try both sizes.

Branleuse because of a back problem I have roll/creases already so I'd rather not add to it if I can help it haha. But you're absolutly right.

Thanks all

I find bras with three hooks have and deeper back strap and don't dig in quite so badly.

I'm 5'9", 10.5 stone, size 10 and a 30E/F and I still have back fat. Good posture helps reduce it a bit!
