How did you know you wanted a 3rd?
I have 2 DS, a 5 year old and 1 year old, I mean if number 2 was a girl I think I would have been content with just the 2, however I feel like I cannot rule out a 3rd and it's on my mind.
I suppose I would be fine with another boy but a girl would also be lovely and complete the family.
What were your reasons for having 3 or more?

Another one here that just always wanted 3. I didn’t really mind whether they were boys or girls, just knew it in my bones that 3 was my fate. I struggled to get pg with all of them, and suffered a couple of miscarriages along the way. I found it a big leap from 2 to 3, not because 3rd was difficult, he was probably the easiest (well apart from being born at 30 weeks, so a 5 weeks NICU stay) but just silly things like having to focus on 3 conversations at once, not being able to find hotel rooms for 5 that easily...stupid things.
I don’t regret having a third for one nanosecond; I have very little time for myself and my house is a constant tip-hole but they are my entire world, and I know that I’d always be hankering for that missing piece if he wasn’t here.
For what it’s worth mine were b,g,b

When I had my 2nd I didn't feel done, but he was a terrible sleeper until almost 3. He's now nearly 4. I feel like I have enough on my plate, tbh I'm just tired and don't know how I'd have the energy for 3! I don't think I could go back to the days of juggling the demands of a baby and a child/children, though if my 2nd had been twins I'm sure I'd manage. It's more just that I cannot face the baby days again, and now we've had 4 years as a family of 4 I see the advantages of a small family, IYSWIM.

You need to have a good routine especially in the mornings. I didn't find much difference going from 2 to 3. My boys have always been a handful and when my girl came a long she is like a little angel and no bother.
