Tell me I’m not the only one who struggles in busy car parks !

Today has confirmed I’m utterly crap at manouvering in tight, busy car parks.
Anyone else or is it just me and my poor skills? I normally shop at quiet times but Xmas and all that ....
Turning into a narrow car park lane - car coming the other way - I have to reverse, manoeuvre etc to make space to let them out. This happened 3 times with different cars I got so stressed I gave up and went home - there were no bloody spaces anyway. I know it was me - I drive a corsa so it’s not even bog, but I obviously can’t judge the size of my bloody car !

Inspite of the move towards no plastic shopping bags etc and reducing plastic and waste, I see people stoically placing their shopping with card board bags into their... SUPER SIZED FUCK OFF MASSIVE CARS.. THAT STICK OUT FOR MILES AND HAVE LASER BEAMS FOR HEAD LIGHTS. ConfusedGrin but they don't use a plastic bag anymore.

It's insane! Car parking spaces are small. I thought we as a society we're supposed to be getting smaller better cars!

I generally park half a mile from the shop I want to go to so I don't have to squeeze into a small space.
I also try my hardest to always reverse in and drive out. If I know I am going to have to reverse out it stresses me my whole shopping time.

Me!! And i have to park in the worlds tiniest carpark at my sons nursery 10 times a week! It is HELL. only this morning someone parked literally inches from the back of my car and i had to do a 5 point bloody turn to get out.

I have a reverse camera but no sensors! (Again, WHY!) and i still cant park for shit.

I am going to get dp to teach me. I imagine it will take a very long time.

I am so careful in car parks. I have twice had idiots drive into me. My biggest bugbear is pedestrians, i.e. other drivers going back to their cars, who don't look where they are going, walk down the middle of the lanes instead on the paths and walkways, etc. They always assume that you the driver will take responsibility for their safety.

Hate car parks
Ever since a driver sped up and hit me side on.

Apparently his foot slipped on the pedal

I've been driving for over 20 years (since I was about 17) Currently have a 5 series BMW, so quite a big (long) car. I can reverse in and do car parks no problem, but parallel parking? Never gonna happen!
I couldn't do it when I had a Corsa either though!

When I did my test (late 90s) parallel parking wasn't part of it, but I think it is now.

Still, I've managed to get away with it for over 20 years, so I won't be worrying about it anytime soon.

I don’t think it’s just that modern cars are bigger, my mum had a Volvo estate and my dad had a Land Rover and they managed.

I used to work for the Land Rover garage and can park one anywhere but I’m useless with small cars, I completely overshoot it every time.
