I asked him to put the toilet rolls in the toilet and look what he did!

Typical man.

Watto1 · 17/12/2018 19:32

Dh once made the mistake of asking DD(8) to 'chuck me that wine glass.' Yes, you guessed it - she threw it at his head!

An NT 8 year old? Hmm

I wouldn’t have found that funny personally.

TickTockClocks · 17/12/2018 19:40

He must have know you what you meant surely? Confused

MarthaArthur · 17/12/2018 19:42

Grin thats the sort of thing dbro does haha. The wine glass story has happened more than once in this house too.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 17/12/2018 21:20

Dd1 when potty training declared she needed a wee just as we were approaching home. I said "hold on". Pulled up outside the house and ran to get her out her car seat only to find she was holding on to the sides having wet herself 😂😂

Idontknowwhyinfrench · 17/12/2018 21:25

I think it wouldn’t depend what mood I was in as to whether i’d find that funny or not.

I probably wouldn’t as it’s wasteful and I hate waste but I do appreciate the humour behind the idea!

Idontknowwhyinfrench · 17/12/2018 21:26

would depend

MorningsEleven · 17/12/2018 21:29

Brilliant! This is the kind of thing that stopped me asking my kids to do chores.

MyGastIsFlabbered · 17/12/2018 21:36

It wasn't wasteful as it didn't actually touch the water

DonaldDucksTowel · 17/12/2018 21:40

I’d actually be really pissed off of my 8 year old did that - is he taking the piss? Hmm

Celebelly · 17/12/2018 21:42

Grin I'm impressed he managed to wedge them so well!

I mean if he did it every time it would be annoying, but as a one off it would make me laugh when I went in and saw it.

Bigonesmallone3 · 17/12/2018 21:49

When I was about 10 my dad asked me to put one of those 'bloos' in the downstairs loo
so I did and flushed..
Walked away thinking I just don't understand how that works..

When cleaning bike aged about 9 - mum can I have some polish - "use elbow grease" - I couldn't find it anywhere.

MistyMinge · 17/12/2018 21:52

If people look at the toilet roll closely you'll be able to see it's not actually touching the water.

I'd find that quite amusing, but not so much if he'd put them in the water. At least he's got a sense of humour.

zen1 · 17/12/2018 22:00

I think that’s funny Grin. Love the way they’re strategically placed so have not touched the water!

Starlight456 · 17/12/2018 22:03

i told my SN Ds to put his PE kit in the wash basket..
He did the whole bag no removing trainers

Giraffey1 · 17/12/2018 22:07

Snort!!!

Ozziewozzie · 17/12/2018 22:07

Sounds like my ds now 16, although if I’m honest I did the same but with a bar of soap in the toilet. My mother continually reminds me.

ForgivenessIsDivine · 17/12/2018 22:09

I do have to specify that putting the laundry in the washing machine also means putting detergent in the drawer, selecting the appropriate cycle and pressing the start button. DS's are 14 and 10.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 17/12/2018 22:10

DD1 (when in year 7), nearly crying with laughter whilst recounting that, after being told by the teacher in cookery to ‘use the claw grip’ whilst chopping a carrot, her friend spent five minutes looking for it before declaring ‘I don’t have one in my drawer, Miss?!’
