How to pass the time while waiting for a phone call?

I had a job interview on Thursday for something that I really want to do and would be life changing. I'm currently unemployed and have developed some sort of anxiety around it. I was super confident on Thursday but she finished the interview with "it's going to be tough such great candidates you being one of them". Yes, I know thatst a ready made phrase, even Lord Sugar uses it a million times.... She was super happy and jumping like a bunny, she even showed me where my desk would be. But that phrase got stuck in my head. On Friday I was a mess (although just with my mum over the phone), Saturday was horrendous (I even had the first fight with my DP in 15 months together). Yesterday was better but not great. So here I am now waiting for the call... Any tips??

Next one is 21 point essay on how I fit the person description (no joke) and another one which I haven't even checked. I have two interviews as a carer on Wednesday but it almost seems like a bad idea.

You made it through the day though, even though it was horrible waiting. You deserve a lovely dinner or a bar of chocolate I should think!

Why is being a carer a bad idea? Mind you, I'm biased, I have always worked in healthcare and I love the job fulfilment I get.

@little or a drink! But I've had enough of those the past two days!
@heart because I have 6-7 years experience in my industry (which is almost nonexistent where I live). So going into care would just prolong the my time.out of my field. A job is a job and I truly understand this, but I got to senior level in London and as much as I love elderly people it feels to me as I'm just digging a hole.

My granny used to say 'what's for you, won't go by you' so keep on applying for the jobs you want to do, don't give up. And yy to gin and/or chocolate and/or a nice dinner Flowers

Well I didn't get it...

I hope you had a good weekend.

Thanks so much for your time last week, I enjoyed our second meet as much as the first, and X really enjoyed meeting you too.

We have now come to a decision and I’m sorry to say that we decided to appoint another applicant. It was a tough decision to make. It was clear that you had loads of great experience to bring to the role, and that you would be a strong addition to the team. But we had to base the decision on our understanding of the role, and another applicant had work experience that was more closely aligned to the day to day elements of the AM role that we couldn’t ignore that.

Thank you again for showing such interest in X, and for your time both times that we met. I wish you all the best in your job search.

For now, I hope you have a very merry Christmas.

Oh OP, I'm really sorry you didn't get the job! But I think you need to report your own post to ask MNHQ to edit out the name of the company and co-interviewer as it's identifying.
Thanks for you though and don't give up on this. DH lost his career job and it took him many temp roles and interviews to get the permanent role he's now in. It sounds like you interviewed well but that you were just pipped to the post.

Thanks! I've reported the post. But I don't know how to feel right now. Take a break? No idea
