I've had a lovely takeaway and now I'm snuggled on the sofa watching episodes of friends with the tree lights twinkling. Im going to have a lovely early night ready for a busy day tomorrow.

Oldest 2 are in bed, 7 week old DS2 is asleep on my shoulder, DH is just clearing up the kitchen then we're watching some more Game of Thrones - series 3 arrived today on DVD. Salt dough ornaments that the kids made for gifts are in the oven, I must remember to get them out before bed.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 15/12/2018 20:11

I keep threatening to make salt dough ornaments. What recipe did you use?

DeadBod · 15/12/2018 20:17

pumpkin that's such a lovely thought.

I'm just waiting to drop dd2 off at her friends for prinks, Dd1 already out and DH at work so it'll be a night of Bailey's and tv for me.

wejammin · 15/12/2018 20:18

I use a recipe that nursery gave me which is half salt and half water to flour, so I did 1 cup salt, 1 cup water, 2 cups flour. Add salt to water and heat a little to dissolve the salt, then add to the flour in a big bowl and knead for a bit to get it smooth. We also added a shit-tonne of silver and white glitter this time, cos Christmas, innit

Day of jobs and walking dogs and running in freezing cold and wind.

Have spent afternoon watching films with candles lit, fire on and Xmas lights twinkling. Made cookie dough to make Xmas cookies tomorrow with boys. Boys decorated grandpa's tree with him. Booze free night as have overdone it recently . Just watched Christmas chronicles on Netflix with ds2, great Xmas movie.

We had a close family member death this week, so we are all hunkering down and enjoying being together and making the most of Christmas now.

PrivateEggnog · 15/12/2018 20:19

Having a quiet night in. Have got some clementine tonic so might give that a whirl with some gin shortly. And possibly Netflix - have just started watching The Good Cop. So I might watch another couple of episodes of that, or one of the millions of films I've got saved on the planner.

JustanotherCHRISTMASuser01 · 15/12/2018 20:22

We had a yummy pork dinner cooked by dh for tea and he's watched some boy tv whilst I lurked mumsnet and been to visit both sides of family. Rock and roll

coffeeagogo · 15/12/2018 20:25

I've just said goodbye to our old au pair who took our girls out for a Christmas treat this afternoon whilst I made a lovely dinner, we had a great catchup and exchanged presents. Just vegging on the sofa with DH for another 30 mins then off to bed as knackered! (Perfect Saturday night!)

gottachangethename1 · 15/12/2018 20:33

Been in central London all afternoon, then had a horrible dizzy spell/felt i was going to faint, at the train station on the way home. Now at home eating chocolate and feeling bit better. Still have to go to my elderly mum’s and make sure she is ok.

Toomanybaubles · 15/12/2018 20:37

We have just got back to our hotel after walking round the botanical gardens in Edinburgh for an hour in driving sleet and hail. We are cold but fuelled by hot chocolate ad toasted marshmallows- absolutely amazing display of lights Xmas Smile

CakeNinja · 15/12/2018 20:37

It’s been a lovely evening so far. Dd1 and I have wrapped presents next to the fire and used ds as an elf to transport them to under the tree Grin he was getting fed up of doing this donkey work so we paid him £1!
Dp is cooking me a steak dinner but we are holding off a bit as expecting dd2 to call any minute for a lift home as she is out at the cinema and having dinner with her boyfriend and his family (she is 13, I’m not sure I did this until I was about 20 Grin ). Not looking forward to going back out, the weather is filthy and even though the car is on the drive, I will have to put proper clothes back on (currently in slobbing out clothes) because I will undoubtedly have to get out of the bloody car to retrieve her Angry

gingajewel · 15/12/2018 20:40

It was my work Christmas party last night and then up early this morning with a poorly dd2. Went to see Santa and then have been lounging on the sofa all afternoon. I’m so tired (and a little hungover) so going to have an early night!

duckthisshit · 15/12/2018 20:41

I'm knackered. Dh on works do, ds1 watching tv upstairs and baby in bed but tossing and turning due to a cold. Should really be revising for an exam next week but pizzas in the oven and wines on the go.. early start for work tomorrow though.

TTCI · 15/12/2018 21:11

Sitting with my 3 month old DD watching The Mask on Itv2. Forgot how funny it is I love Jim Carrey. Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend.

ShowerTheHorse · 15/12/2018 21:18

Drinking gin, catching up on strictly and takeaway on the way. First day of my period so have plenty of chocolate for afters Smile

Squirrel26 · 15/12/2018 21:29

Watching the Michael McIntyre thing on BBC1 for reasons of CBA to choose anything else, but it's relatively entertaining. Had fishfinger sandwiches for dinner earlier, which was AMAZING Grin. I'm drying some orange slices in the oven to make rustic Christmas decorations with tomorrow. Must remember to turn it off before bed...

Shootingstar20 · 15/12/2018 21:30

Rained all day so went and did a big food shop and now doing face masks and watching darts with the boyfriend (yes he loves face masks)

lucysmam · 15/12/2018 21:30

I'm full of cold so off to bed when I finish this cup of tea. Should really be reading for my interview on Tuesday but couldn't concentrate properly so gave up & had a bit of a browse for a Christmas gift for my dad.

ihatehoney · 15/12/2018 21:37

Crappy, stressing about money and watching prison break👍🏻 partner is making funny noises (annoyingly!) and pup has had surgery not even a week ago so it's very sad feeling around here all the time atm.
