I believe lots of 12/13 year old girls love stationery? What particular bits of stationery do they like and if you were to spend £10/15 what you buy? Thanks.

Lots of love for smiggle. Sharpies are popular. So are sequin notebooks you can change the colour of.

Thanks Purple, This almost sounds like a complete new language to me! Is Amazon as good as anywhere to order these items from?

Yes, you can get almost anything on amazon. I had the pleasure (Hmm) of taking my 12 year old niece shopping. That was fun. We did have a nice coffee and cake though.

Bryna · 15/12/2018 17:59

Sharpies here too, yes Amazon sell them, I think smuggle is only direct from them( I maybe wrong, as mine never bought into smiggle) fineliners also go down well here!

SoupDragon · 15/12/2018 18:02

Isn't 12/13 too old for Smiggle? DD is that age and simply not into that even though she loves stationery. Cute post it notes seem popular.

Smiggle is very overpriced I think.

SoupDragon · 15/12/2018 18:03

DD has a huge range of gel pens rather than sharpies.

dancemom · 15/12/2018 18:05

The Works have a good range of options. Dd is 13 and wouldn't use Smiggle.
She likes sharpies, gel pens, notepads, folders, dividers, binders, nice writing pens and mechanical pencils.

AornisHades · 15/12/2018 18:06

Yes Smiggle's more primary school stuff. Sharpies and the Korean stuff (can't remember what it's called) seem to be more popular with nearly teens.

AornisHades · 15/12/2018 18:07

Kawaii. That's what it's called.

Ethel80 · 15/12/2018 18:08

Paperchase is good for stationery. Ban.do is fun but not cheap.

goldengummybear · 15/12/2018 18:09

Definitely not Smiggle which is firmly primary school territory.

Agree that a set of Sharpies would probably go down really well.

PurpleDaisies · 15/12/2018 18:09

Interesting. My niece is just 12 so maybe just hanging on to the smiggle love. It was the one place she definitely wanted to go and the one place I definitely didn’t!

feedmewinenow · 15/12/2018 18:15

My 10 year old is starting to outgrow Smiggle so I'd say that Paperchase would be a better bet! We were in there earlier and she was in heaven! Notebooks, sparkle and novelty pens galore but a touch more 'sophisticated' than Smiggle...well, as 'sophisticated' as glitter and sloth adorned pens can get!

shouldwestayorshouldwego · 15/12/2018 18:19

Smiggle dropped in yr6 here. Nice fountain pen is favourite here, failing that maybe notebook and gel pens.

Trevorthebikethief · 15/12/2018 18:20

Wow, thanks everyone. I think I’ll have a look in the works, no Paperchase local to me. I’ve got a better idea of what to look for now.
