Baby corn, mangetout and tender stem broccoli as a side to burger and chips...help please!

Ok, so we are eating down the freezer to make space for Christmas foods. I found some burgers that we bought in late September from the local butcher that were left over from a BBQ as well as some burger buns so it would be great to use them up.

I also have baby corn, mangetout and tenderstem broccoli that need eating up in the fridge. Usually we eat those with gravy in our Sunday dinner and I need to think of a sauce or spices to use with the veg or way of cooking them that my young children won’t refuse them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I admit that I’m a pretty hopeless cook!

Many thanks.

What do your Yong children like
?

Stir fry them with a little garlic and chilli if they are ok with spice.

How do your kids like veg? For mine I'd just boil or steam veg and serve on plate with the burger and chips. Then plain veg is one of the few things both like. Stir fry if more likely to work? Or break up the burgers and make a Bolognese type sauce?

Just cook as normal and stir in a little pasta sauce, pesto or relish, whichever of those they'll eat.

You could try a stir fry with a sweet and sour sauce or other sauce you like.

Or do them as you usually would, with gravy. So as not to get the buns covered in gravy and have them disintegrate you could put the gravy in individual bowls for your children to dip into, like tomato ketchup. This way your children might try some without gravy and may decide they like them!

Have them raw as a finger salad?

Some brilliant ideas here, many thanks all!
