Have you a gym or anything? Or if not, can your 1 to 1 bring you on long walks around the grounds to get some fresh air?

FFSOMG · 15/12/2018 05:01

Ah ok, yes I was told to lie down on the bed and pull my trousers down, and four nurses were there to hold me down if I refused. I sobbed my heart out, it was pitiful.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 15/12/2018 05:53

I’m awake with awful anxiety and insomnia. Had it all week and haven’t slept more than 2-3 hours any night this week. I’m feeling so lousy in the day and am barely functioning.

Veronicat · 15/12/2018 05:54

DP is snoring like a train and coupled with hot flushes I've decided to get up to MN on the sofa. I'm off work for the days now so it's sods law I don't get a lie in! I've been awake since 3.43!!!

IHaveBrilloHair · 15/12/2018 06:03

I'm in A&E, asthma attack.

jmh740 · 15/12/2018 06:06

Oh has gone away for a few days to visit his dad I woke up for a wee and now can't sleep because the bedfeels very big and empty, I did leave the door open in the hope that a cat or 2 might keep me company but they know they're not allowed on the bed when oh is here so are both staying away. Said I might take the kids to the cinema later will probably sleep through that seems to be the only place I don't struggle to sleep!

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:07

FFSOMG, I know what they're like. They can be brutal.

Big hugs to hope you get better and never need that again.

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:08

Hey BrilloHair!
I'm also an asthma sufferer and have had more in the past two months than I've had in the preceding 20 years.
They have it under control yet?

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:11

TheLittleDogLaughed
I'm the same, I keep waking up after a couple of hours, having awful dreams about Universal Credit and forms and shit. Wide awake like a lark until I hit the deck at about 11am and then sleep until 5pm. Which is a very productive sleep pattern. I keep trying to keep myself awake just one day until 11pm at night, so that I can actually get night-time sleep, but no, I just fall asleep sitting at laptop.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 15/12/2018 06:13

I’ve had worse asthma lately too - I wondered if it’s to do with having the heating on more?

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:14

I genuinely don't think I'm doing anything different to what I would be doing this time every year, only that I am under a lot more stress (financial) this year, so don't know whether it's panic causing them.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 15/12/2018 06:15

heyjudas I can’t sleep in the daytime either - maybe 15 mins in the afternoon or something? My mind is so wired with anxiety it won’t switch off.

Boredboredboredboredbored · 15/12/2018 06:16

Meeeee! I'm on holiday too in Lisbon. Been awake since 4.30am......why??! In the week at home I can barely raise my head at 6.30am 😭

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:17

I'm also not taking my meds right now, as I don't know when to be taking them. Do I take my morning meds at 3am when I wake up or at 5pm when I wake up? Similarly with my night time meds.
I was in hospital one night and got one hour of sleep, so haven't slept remotely normal since then.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 15/12/2018 06:17

I’m very worried about my 16-year-old dd. She’s had a v tough year and last weekend her boyfriend dumped her. She was completely dependent on him emotionally and she doesn’t have any other friends really so she’s lost. She missed her mock GCSEs this last week as she was too depressed to go to school.

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:18

I think I need the GP re antidepressants to be honest. Not keen on that shit to be honest, but I have to do something.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 15/12/2018 06:20

I dont have to get up, but yet, here I am! Drinking tea

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:20

Oh no. Is she into sport? What's she into that you might encourage her to do to feel alive again?

We're all just muddling along really aren't we.
But being dumped is serious heart ache if she doesn't have a network of support.

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:21

Nothin like a sup a tae

Marble2017 · 15/12/2018 06:23

I've been up since 4....our heating has broke....

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:24

Cuppa for you too then Marble.

TheLittleDogLaughed · 15/12/2018 06:25

She’s not sporty. She likes art and music. I’ve tried to find some local youth groups but there’s nothing really suitable.

I took ADs for years but actually they made my sleep worse!

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:25

I'm making it my life's work to go and top up my electricity and gas today. Enough to do me over Christmas anyway.

Heyjudas · 15/12/2018 06:26

Has she friends through art and music?

GrumpyOldMare · 15/12/2018 06:28

Sat drinking tea. Will get dressed shortly, need to catch the 7.51am train for work.
